WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time.
A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Put together your own Spark page. This is a great way to communicate with other members and build relationships that will support and motivate you. You can do this by going to the START page and the green section has something about your Sparkpage.
2. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
3. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Hi Bthankful2, and welcome!!! You've come to the right place. This is an amazing site with a wonderful community. You will receive lots of support. I myself joined March 7. I haven't been consistent with the exercise because I have a very sore foot, but I'm proud to say I had a good day in the eating department today. Had a healthy breakfast, snack, lunch with lots of veggies, and water which is keeping me full. I have a long way to go, but I am breaking it down in baby steps. One step at a time. I'm not in a hurry. This is a lifestyle, a permanent change. Not a diet.

Hi Everyone! I just joined this week and am so excited to finally join a community where others share a common goal - to live and eat healthy. I have been on a very long roller coaster ride over the past 10 years struggling with weight, health issues and the other "garbage" that everyone has in their life. I have 2 girls - 4 yrs old and 9 yrs old and they are amazing! My 9 yr old was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 4 yrs ago and is insulin dependent. It has been challenging and having a child with a chronic health condition is like having it yourself. Now that my daughter is older, I need to teach her how to live a healthy life. How can I expect her to be healthy if I'm not? I need to lead by example for both my girls and am hoping my husband will follow too. I have always had good intentions when in comes to exercising and eating healthy, but have a hard time being accountable. So I would love to hear what has helped you 1. keep to an exercise routine and 2. Stick to eating healthy.
I am looking forward to supporting all of you in any way I can. All of us need to remember that we are not on this journey alone. Blessings.
