Hi, everyone! I'm new here, but my weight loss journey started in January.

I'm a girl (young woman, really), twenty-two years old, a full-time student, and 5'3" or 5'4". My starting weight was 225, a number that really hammered home the fact that I needed to start losing weight. When I started, my BMI was 38.6, meaning that I was severely obese. My size sixteen jeans were getting really snug, too.

Now, even my skinny jeans (size sixteen short) are feeling a little loose. My BMI's down to 34.8. I don't intend to return to eating the way that I was before, but I've been struggling with being away from school for spring break. I guess I'd gotten too dependent on my time being structured between class and work and other activities.

I started dieting at the end of January using MyFitnessPal. In February, I made a Tumblr account to help keep myself motivated and began posting on the MFP message boards. In March, I joined my local Gold's Gym as my school gym is essentially a glorified weight room and almost always locked.

So far I've noticed my posture's gotten a lot better and my back hurts much less. How about you?
