I know this is an old post, but I thought what the heck, I'll try a reply.
I had ACL reconstructive surgery in May 2012 - I actually severed my left ACL and tore up my meniscus (cartilage) in an Ultimate Frisbee while lunging for the disk. My surgery took place almost a full 6 months after my injury and was to replace the ligament with some of my Hamstring.
Due to the extent of the damage and how weak my leg was by the time I got into surgery my recovery has been long, hard and is still ongoing. How is your knee doing? What level of activity or excercises are you up to? I thought maybe we could swap some stories and information on what has and hasn't worked if you're interested.
