WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time.
A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Put together your own Spark page. This is a great way to communicate with other members and build relationships that will support and motivate you. You can do this by going to the START page and the green section has something about your Sparkpage.
2. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
3. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Hi, my name is Becky and I am new to SP also. I find that just eating healthy and watching my portions is much better than trying to follow one particular diet. I think it's about changing our lifestyle and not so much obsessing about a particular diet. I am trying to eat more whole foods, and just up my fruits and veggies on a daily basis. Start eating some of all the food groups and remember to keep everything in moderation. At least that is what I am trying to do, driving yourself crazy about which "diet" you need to be on is more stressfull in my opinion. Good Luck, you can do it!!!

I am no expert but this is what has helped me. I just make sure to have on hand things I CAN eat and that are easy to get. It has been working for me. I also got rid of all the leftover Christmas candy and chips and stuff like that. I just find something I can eat (like a pbj with 1T of pb and ! T of jelly. I eat that every morn for breakfast. I track all my food also.
Good luck to you and don't give up because if I can do I am sure you can.

I need help. I am 55, need to lose 70 pounds. My blood pressure went to 200 over Chistmas. I need to lose, when I start a diet it is always high protein I lose for a while then gain, I don't measure and eat meat like a champ
This is ridiculous. I go on Weight Watchers and buy dinners, and eat them all in one day.
I go carb crazy and never make it through one day.
