Hi Sue

I am scheduled for gastric sleeve surgery in mid April. Needless to say, I am nervous and anxious at the same time. I am 63 years old and 230 pounds. I am tired of being overweight and want to get fit.
I would love to hear your story and get some encouragement from you since you have gone down this path.
I live in Louisiana and my insurance will not pay so I am self pay.

My husband says he would not do it but will support me He says it will be hard and he does not want to encourage me because I will blame him if something goes wrong.

Hope to hear from you.

I am returning to Spark People after a few years absence. I had a gastric sleeve procedure in October. I would like to be able to hear from others who have had a bariatric procedure. Hearing about what foods they are eating, meal plans, and emotional support would be great. Are there any of you out there?
