emoticon emoticon emoticon ANY time is a great time to start...especially with Sparkpeople. Give yourself a big hug for making this positive choice for yourself. Take your time to explore all the resources available for you here. It can seem overwhelming because there are so many resources to choose from. Two to consider using are the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Check out Spark Recipes for great recipes to try. Also, check out Spark Teams under the COMMUNITY Tab. Do searches on your goals, interests, hobbies, whatever. Then join one, two or more Spark teams. You'll enjoy getting to know these folks and giving and getting lots of encouragement along the way. It's all good. Enjoy the journey!

Hi emoticon and congratulations on beginning your Spark journey!

There's so much here to help you along the way and excellent advice to setting and achieving healthy goals. With the thousands and thousands of fellow Sparkers you will always find someone you can connect with. I am always amazed how many lives have been changed for the better through the use of SparkPeople.

If you have not already done so, I suggest that you check out the videos in the "Healthy Lifestyle" section. Scroll down for the site orientation videos.

That should point you in the right direction. I find that if you just start looking around Spark, you will quickly learn about the wonderful tools available for your use. After being a Sparker since 2007, I still find something new and very useful.

Welcome and best wishes!

Hey everyone! Just introducing myself! My name is Amanda and I just joined today. I'm not going to bore you too much with my back story, it's on my page if you'd like to view it. I'm 23 and I live in Tampa,fl. I currently weigh 223 lbs and I'm working towards my goal weight of 140-ish.
Currently I'm trying to lose weight through exercise and by relearning portion control. I love cooking so I've been premaking healthy meals to grab on the go, and I'm making new healthy recipes to get excited for! I also made my first video blog today and plan to continue to keep myself in line and keep in touch with everyone here on my progress.
I'm excited to be here, to start this process, and to make some changes! If you have any questions don't be shy because I'm certainly not!

Have a great healthy day everyone!

AmSaWa. - Working hard to see myself in the mirror again!
