Hi and Welcome to Sparks!

Set small goals for yourself weekly and monthly to keep yourself on track. This really helps b/c you aren't looking at the big picture of how much weight you have to lose and then end up getting overwhelmed by it.

Make sure that you are keeping track of your food intake. You don't have to stay away from foods that you love just because you are on a healthier lifestyle. If we deny ourselves the foods that we love it turns into a craving and that craving may turn into a huge over eating. So enjoy the foods you love in moderation and smaller portions.

Best wishes to you on your weight loss journey.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others.
For beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness.
And for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

I'm 55, mother of 6 grown children, grandmother of 14, always thin until I hit "50." Thyroid issues and gravity have taken their toll, and I need to lose 20-30 lbs. to be able to function well again! My trust is in Christ Jesus and His payment on the cross for all my sin - I desire most of all to bring Him glory in everything I say and do. My husband of 37 years is also an encouragement to me!
