Thanks Guys!

I just got out of the pool from treading water for 20 minutes straight and I tracked it in my fitness tracker too!

I'm gonna try my best to keep this up. I've made a plan and made up my mind now all I have to do is stick to it!

Hi and welcome to Spark People where you will find lots of information and tons of support and encouragement from all our members. You will find that we also have fun along the way. Drink your 8-8oz glasses of water a day, watch your portion control and walk. Use your fitness and nutrition tracker daily. These tips will definitely help in lowering your numbers. Don't expect miracles right away...this is a lifestyle change not a diet. You will be much healthier in the long run. Post any concerns, comments or questions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
Start each day with a positive thought for the day. Reading and reflecting on a inspirational thought or message before you start your day can put you in a positive frame of mind.
Your thoughts determine whether you have a good day or a bad day. Fill your mind with positive ideas, suggestions, and thoughts. You will find it will change your attitude and changing your attitude can change your life.
Sometimes just reading an inspirational quote or a short paragraph help one see the positive in a situation. Sometimes as your day progresses you just need to take a break…Take a mental break and read or think about a message of inspiration.
Never underestimate your power to change and improve! You are a good person, with wonderful qualities, and you can reach your goals!
God bless you on your journey to a healthier you.
Hugs,
Helen

Hi There! I am new to Spark People and thought I'd chime in about how I used to belong to this place when I only had 20 Pounds to lose, boy do I wish I did it then, now I have 25 more to lose on top of the 20 pounds for a total of 45 pounds, but I can do it. I'm strong...! I've already gotten used to going to the gym with a personal trainer to do basic strength training.

I intend to work towards a better me now. I think my original sparkpeople account didn't work for me because I did not get involved with the community 'nor did I ever track everything so while I read a ton of materials on the site, it went in one ear and out the other and now I'm back with a different approach.

I will post on the forums and I will maintain my sparkpage, I will track my progress daily.

To do this I will create reminders on my computer to bug me about this new found goal and commitment. ^_^ Nothing like a notifier going off asking you if you worked out today to get your butt in gear.

Hahaha
