Hi and welcome!

I've been using this site since May, have lost about 60 lbs so far, and I STILL find motivation every day just by searching through the site and reading about other members' journeys.

And if I can do it, ANYONE can!!

My advice is to track EVERYTHING you eat EVERY day, begin some sort of regular exercise program, and come to the Sparkpeople messageboards whenever you have questions or concerns. There will always be someone to help out! Good luck!

Hey there LZRDLSS10 ,

Welcome to Sparkpeople! I wish you all the best on your fit-journey, and I hope that you will keep making little steps as much as you can. I find that it might take longer, but the little steps are permanent, and SP helps you keep track of them incredibly well.

There are so many teams to choose from, so it's easy to grab a buddy and set up a team goal. I can even partner up with you on something online if you like!

BTW, have you read the Getting Started Guide?

Now don't sleep on it - nows the time to set up those first goals, even if it's just logging in everyday and spinning the wheel....

Let me know by private mail if I can help, and see you soon!

Never consider giving up, and OFFERING support may be the best way to get the support you need!!

Hi Everyone! I actually accidentally stumbled upon this website and hope it's my ticket to a healthier, lighter lifestyle! I have the hardest time getting motivated to just do what I have to do to be healthy.
I'm very "on-the-go" and don't feel like I have the time to shop or prepare my meals, or even work out.
All the older women in my family are on the heavier side and with my 26th birthday coming up, I'm realizing I need to do something now to prevent myself from going down that same road.
Help! :)

Chicken and Vegetable Satay (Chef Meg's Makeover)
Submitted By: CHEF_MEG

Chef Meg lowered the fat and calories in this member-submitted recipe, which contains two servings of cooked vegetables per serving!

Lean chicken and a rainbow of veggies are hiding under a tasty, tangy peanut sauce. This is a great way to get kids to eat their veggies.

For a complete meal, serve with brown rice or rice noodles. Don't forget the chopsticks for the kids! It's a great way to teach hand-eye coordination. Slip a rubber band around the top to help them get started.

If you're watching your sodium, reduce the amount of soy sauce, but keep in mind that it will affect the balance of flavors in the sauce.

We used all-natural peanut butter for a fresh taste and healthy dose of real nuts. Chef Meg served hers over rice noodles (95 calories per half-cup serving), but you could also serve this with brown rice. Full Recipe
