Hey there Cutie,

Welcome to Sparkpeople! I wish you all the best on your fit-journey, and I hope that you will keep making little steps as much as you can. I find that it might take longer, but the little steps are permanent, and SP helps you keep track of them incredibly well.

There are so many teams to choose from, even one for college students, so it's easy to grab a buddy and set up a team goal. I can even partner up with you on something online if you like!

BTW, have you read the Getting Started Guide?

www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/get_started.as

p

Now don't sleep on it - nows the time to set up those first goals, even if it's just logging in everyday and spinning the wheel....

Let me know by private mail if I can help, and see you soon!

Never consider giving up, and OFFERING support may be the best way to get the support you need!!

Skipping meals is not the way to go. A big balanced breakfast is important to get your day going right to avoid snacking temptations and feeling hungry later on. Spark's Nutrition Tracker shows you the daily nutrients and calorie totals you should have. Its important to meet these totals to fuel your metabolism properly. Regular small meals will prevent your blood sugar from spiking. Going too low on your nutrients and your body will feel starved and get super efficient and using the meal you do have and won't allow weight loss. You also have to have fuel to burn calories. You need both carbohydrates and protein to burn fat and make any exercise you do pay off for you. Spark is all about eating healthy and getting regular exercise, to develop good habits to last you a lifetime to not only lose the weight, but to keep it off. Get to know and use their tools, its worthwhile. There are plenty of articles on here illustrating the do's and don't of fitness, health and nutrition. Help and support are here, but its up you to just do it!
