I was on a Nautilus leg extension machine when the gym lost power and I was stuck, I didn't get out fast enough...I thought my leg was going to break. I had to call for help. Now I am afraid to use equipment that 'traps' you in.

Ouch. i can't think of any that are amusing. I used to ride my bike all the time when I was working at home on my art business. I would get flat tires many miles from home and had to call hubby to rescue me. Not sure if that is a funny or amusing story.

WOW! Lucky you were wearing a helmet! I had a bike accident once WITHOUT a helmet. Hit my head, huge gash wound which required 6 stitches and I had a pretty severe concussion which kind of put me out for two weeks.

ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!

One time I dared a football player to do handstands with me. He said he would, if I helped him. So I stood to his side to spot him. As he kicked up, he shrieked like a kid and fell over onto me, spraining my back.

Another time in a yoga class, we were doing Sun Salutations. I hadn't done a lot in a while, but kept up as best I could. But as I got to my car to drive home, I realized that my arms had stiffened up so that my hands were close to my shoulders. I couldn't open the car door!!! I was stiff as a board for a week.

Now, the rode I am living on has been under construction due to a new sewer system. About 3 weeks ago, they finally put the first layer of pavement for the road. They haven't put in the second layer, so there's about an inch or two between the road and the cement curb.

So, today I rode my bike to the gym that's about a mile away. Got my work out in and started riding home. About 2 blocks from home, my front tire caught the curb and I fell off and managed to get a few abrasions, some road rash, and a puncture wound requiring 12 stitches. I didn't hit my head, miraculously and I was wearing a helmet.

What makes this funny to me was some friends and I went on a biking pub crawl on Friday. No injuries. At all. And I haven't had any adult beverages since then.

Have you ever had a somewhat amusing accident during exercising? If so, what happened?
