Um...birth? I was always a chubby baby and larger than my siblings throughout my life. I never saw it as an "issue" though until I hit puberty and it got much worse...and the insults and bullying started.

Around 45-50 yrs old... Not as active then, and "stress eating" too many treats slowly added about 30lbs --and a Pre-Diabetes Diagnosis(!)-- by the time I was 57.

I was also a chunky child, but when I hit puberty, I slimmed down. Didn't get heavy again until after my 2nd child. My children were the same way, chunky kids that slimmed down when they hit puberty. It's funny, because my best friend's kids were the opposite, slim children who gained weight after puberty.

I have been CHUNKY (as my mother use to call it ) all my life. I have never had an issue w/ it. I just woke up and decided to do something about it when I hit around 45 because I was/am getting older and it started affecting how I fell physically.

Around 14. Until then I did not get to eat 'junk' food on a regular basis. That is when I went to work and with my own money started adding this food to my regular meals. I have been overweight, now obese since then; but I am working on it.

I was in college, early 20's. Being away at school without my mom to cook healthy dinners for me made me sort of go on my "rebellion" of eating all those easy, cheap, and/or frozen foods like pizza, not to mention the beer on football game days and long hours of studying. I was so addicted to that high-carb life that I gained 30 lbs during college.

Interesting question... I think they started by the time I was 11 or 12. My mother and grandmother were always telling me I had a cute figure, but I should keep it trim. I wasn't over weight then. It's been an ongoing battle ever since. I've reconciled with the fact that I'm never going to be a size 8, but even to maintain a weight I like, is a challenge.

12, when my parents separated and I had to internalize some really bad family stuff. I was slender before that :( but out of things to be addicted to, I am glad I went with food versus smoking, drinking, or drugs.
