I don't like smoothies as I think they have too many calories. However, my husband loves them and just bought a "NInja". Big motor on the kitchen counter space, but he loves that the blender is the glass.
He is making smoothies out of evaporated milk, cantaloupe, and honey, with some orange juice.
I might start making some "green" smoothies. Celery, parsley, seltzer.

My breakfast smoothie varies. The one I have enjoyed recently consists of
1 small banana, 10 strawberries, 1/2 c light vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp pnut butter, ground flax seed, 1/2 tbsp of honey, 1/2 small orange and 1/4c orange juice.

My favorite is a strawberry banana oatmeal smoothie. Oatmeal, chia seeds, flaxseeds, milk, yoghurt, banana and strawberries. Blend the oatmeal and seeds until they are smooth. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend again. Needs to be refrigerated a few hours or over night. I usually prepare it the night before and then have the smoothie for breakfast.
1 frozen banana, 1 cup non-dairy milk (I use cashew or almond milk) 1 date, 1-2 cups kale or spinach, a dash of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. Sometimes I add protein powder as well. Whizzed in the Vitamix. The toddler LOVES this recipe, so it's become my go-to. I can also add any fruit I wish and keep the base the same and it's wonderful.
I prefer not to drink my calories, it does not satisfy the chewing action I need. I do enjoy a smoothie for a evening snack. Simple to make- a few Frozen Strawberries, half of a Frozen Banana ( to freeze bananas, peel, place whole in large zip lock bags, freeze- I use the ones turning brown), about a half cup of skim milk and blend until smooth.

I have a little cheap blender I got from JCPenny by Cooks brand...I think I paid $20 on sale...it works for what I do.
I hate the same thing over and over, so I have to switch/try new combinations. But my fave smoothie recipes....spinach, pineapples, coconut water. or almond milk, greek yogurt, strawberries. sometimes I add ice...sometimes, I prefer more of a shake. I add chia seeds, flax seeds or protein to them as well.
