Thank you all so much for all your advice and motivation! Its good to know there are a lot of people in similar positions as me. You all gave a lot of good advice. I have always tended to jump on board, all or nothing, with a new workout or diet plan and I know now that that will not work for me. I need to make small choices, such as 3-5 glasses of water for a week, and then gradually increase that the next week.
As for those who ask if my fiancÚ will do stuff with me he is usually all in. We were in a head on collision recently though and his leg makes it unable for him to run or walk too much (and he is used to running marathons!!) Now he bikes a lot outside. I would love to go with him, just not when he is doing his workouts. He goes 60+ miles everytime and I just cant do that at this point in my life haha.
I have gone to the gym the last 2 days and I haven't overdone it but I am pleasantly sore today. I had 2 hard ciders with dinner last night and I had no idea there were 200 calories in each 12 oz bottle after I tracked it!! I wont be drinking those again any time soon!

Kohl's sizes are weird. I am 125 pounds and I wear a size 2/4 every where else. At Kohl's I wear a size 10. Back when I weighed 165 I couldn't even wear a size 20 at Kohl's. I like the store and I like the clothes, but this messes with my mind too much.
Eat what you like and if someone comments, eat them too
losing 7 lbs in 1-2 weeks isn't something normal people can keep doing without plateauing. That kind of weight loss is probably more water weight than anything else. Instead of stressing out about what the current situation is (and trying to take it off with crash methods), think instead of changing your paradigm and your long term lifestyle. Even if you 'settle' for 1-2 pounds a week...that's a lot of weight lost in 6 months time....IF you commit to maintaining your progress along the way. That means watching what you eat so that you don't undo the workouts. That means watching the portions and skipping the trigger foods. That means making the better choice...consistently...even when you aren't .perfect. You CAN DO THIS. GO FOR IT.
I, like you, while in college was in the best shape of my life. I lived at the shore and drove everywhere. When I moved to New York City to attend school, I had a total life style change. I took the subway, which does not drop you off at your destination's door. This forced me to do a ton of walking. Plus in the city, they just don't walk, they power walk. Without even trying, I went from weighing 135 to 118. Also, in my sophomore year, I moved to a fourth floor walk up apartment, which helped a lot. With getting married, having three kids and getting older, I put on weight. Now, at fifty years old, I weigh 218. What motivates me is being sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. For the past couple of years, I had to watch life go by while sitting on the sidelines. I'm ready to live my life again. My advice to you, lose it now. Did you ever hear, as you get older, it gets harder to lose? BELIEVE IT!

Having your schedule/life completely flip around from what you're used to is hard for anybody to handle. Did you have a set schedule that kept you on track each semester in college? Using something like Google calendar definitely helped me plan out my week once I started working so I could figure out when I had time to workout and batch cook. The PP is also right about how you and your fiance don't have to eat the same portions of everything. Good luck!
Transitioning from college to working is tough, but planning is key. Scheduling fitness and planning and preparing meals ahead of time makes things easier so that it is easier to keep your motivation. We generally like the path of least resistance, so if you make it easy to make good choices, you probably will.
Maybe get your fiance in with the program. I run with my guy, and it's great motivation. I'll workout without him, but he's less likely to workout without me, so I like to push him to run with me (since I want him around for a long time). I also prepare veggies and healthier foods for the same reason. He likes them, but won't usually pick them if left to his own devices.
Even if he won't get on board, you can make your own goals. I find that I am very goal motivated and competitive. If you have lunch out a lot, make it a goal to bring lunch 4 days a week and save the money for your wedding. Visual representations, money jars for pounds lost and all of that stuff can help keep you going. Being active on Spark helps too!

I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction. Remember, you're trying to change habits learned over a life time. That's not going to happen overnight, a week, a month or even a year. That's why SP encourages all its members to start with simple changes first. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated. Set some simple goals.
Example, if you're not eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies, set a goal to eat 2-3 servings each day for one week. If you're not drinking 8 glasses of water, set a goal to drink 2-4 glasses each day for one week. If you're not exercising, don't start with an hour a day, set a goal to take a 30 minute walk each day for one week. Once you've achieved these goals, then you set new ones.
Don't start with an "all or nothing" mentality or you will end up frustrated. Changing habits takes TIME. So, you need to be patient with yourself and your body.
As far as clothing, don't let the sizes get you down. If you need to buy a pair of shorts in a size 16, you buy the size 16 because they FIT. then, you cut out the tag. Women's clothing sizes is a topic I can wax poetic on for pages. Women's clothing sizes are not standardized. Women's clothing sizes aren't consistent. That means you may fit a size 16 in one brand, but a size 12 in another. That's why you need to try on different sizes to see what fits. then you cut out the stupid tag.
Try Sears for clothing as well as Old Navy. they usually have decent stuff for cheap.

Three tips that help me out:
1. A little bit of exercise is better than none at all. Don't have an hour? Do ten minutes! Don't get hung up on "all the workout, or no workout!" thinking. 2. Measure & track your food. This is a pain in the neck if you haven't had to do it before, but it's easier the longer you do it. It is way too easy to underestimate your calories eaten and overestimate your calories burned otherwise. 3. Stay conscious of your own goals. I still have a hard time with feeling resentful because my guy gets to eat EVERYTHING and even if I partake, I have to have only a little bit. Especially since I do most of the cooking.

Olivia, I feel your pain completely. And just to warn you it doesn't get any better as we girls get older. I outweigh my husband by 60 lbs and it is hard to swallow some days. Now I am 2 inches taller but I know I am very overweight. I, like you, was super fit in college and a couple of years after but then got a job and wow 6 nights a week dancing at the clubs went to the wayside and riding my horses daily went bye bye. Is you fiancÚ willing to do stuff with you? If so, no matter how hard it is get up every morning and walk with him. My husband and I started this about 2 months ago and I am already down quite a bit based off how my clothes are fitting (I won't weigh myself until August due to getting so number competitive with myself). Plus try cleaning eating. I am doing the clean eating and counting calories and staying between 1600-1700 a day. Even if the first 2 weeks you only walk 15 mins until you get a routine, it revs up your metabolism for all day. Good luck and if you need a fitness buddy just message me. Sarah
Starting this journey over again. Lost quite a bit during divorce almost 5 years ago and have allowed myself to gain it all back by not weighing myself daily and recording what I eat. God gives me the strength every day to face all obstacles.

I graduated college a little over a year ago, got engaged and am living with my fiancÚ. I was also the opposite of a lot of people when they went to college...instead of the freshman 15 I worked out and ate right and became the fittest I have ever been in my life. I was a size 7 and 140lbs and I had never felt better. Now I want to go back to that girl and be that fit person for my wedding. I just went clothes shopping at kohls yesterday looking for something to wear for the 4th of july and I just don't fit into anything. I am currently wearing a size 14 pants and I am at the highest weight of my life at just over 200lbs. my fiancÚ weighs 184 and is 6'2". I cant believe I weigh more than he does. I have been yo yoing for the last few months where I get on a good streak and will lose 7 lbs in 1-2 weeks and then I just stop. I I want to be able to stick with something and I want to start today!!
If any of you have just any little things you do every day to keep you motivated, please let me know! I want to get back to the healthy, happy girl I was in college, I just need to get used to the new life I have.
