I also thought you were about 29! You look fabulous in your picture.
Ask you gynecologist to check your hormone levels. The results will let you know if you are menopausal. And your doctor will let you know if you need to be doing anything about your levels.
Onset of menopause varies, Blacks and Hispanics about age 48, Whites at about age 50, Asians about 52. Interestingly, Blacks start having periods first, then Whites, then Asians. The difference has to do with diet and fat deposits and how they effect hormone levels.
The biggest predictor for all of us is what age our mothers and female blood relatives went into menopause. If your mom and aunts went into menopause at age 40, you are likely to also.
Other factors play in also like having chemo for cancer, a history of several surgeries, chronic illness and chronic stress.
Some women who are very active, with excellent diets and terrific health can remain fertile into their 60's. We've all heard about those surprise babies!
So you might be in menopause as you have 2 chronic illnesses and I will assume at least one surgery for a shunt placement.
Again, the safest thing to do is follow up with your doctor!
