I like so many of them, but years ago we met Martin Yan and got to watch him do a cooking demo. He was wonderful! We've also seen Sara Moulton and Giada de Laurentiis who were equally entertaining and enjoyable to watch.

I really love the Jazzy Vegetarian Laura Theodore and Christina Pierello. Both are vegan chefs on PBS. I like Christina b/c she's just fun, and Laura Theodore has amazing recipes. There are a few other vegan celebrity chefs, but these are the 2 I like the most.

I don't watch cooking shows but everyone has heard of Julia Child. I like the way she talked and do believe she could be quite humorous at times. So I guess I'd have to vote for Julia Child. I would not eat those rich concoctions that she made though. When it comes to food, I actually like mine fairly simple for the most part.

Ree Drummond "The pioneer woman" She seems very down to earth & I love getting to see her family, home, cattle ranch on each episodes. Her food doesn't really fit into my diet plan but I love to watch and drool.

I like Rick Bayless and Alton Brown. I have an easy cookbook from Rick Bayless which we use all the time and have not had a bad recipe yet. I went to one of his restaurants once and it was lovely. I used to watch Alton Brown all the time when I had cable. I have tried several of his recipes and most have been good.

I loved it when she had a whole pile of different kinds of rolling pins, all sizes and shapes, and even glass ones, and she grabbed them all and threw them behind her, said they were all useless, and just used a rounded stick. My father made me one from the handle of a broom, all sanded and cleaned up, lol. I still have it and use it, I'm 67.
Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.
I like Ramsay, too... when he's not being a complete a$$. I think a lot of that is due to his media sponsors encouraging him toward things which "sell"... I'm not so sure he's as obnoxious in his regular life. Although, I suppose you do get a pretty fair education in it via football! LOL Or, I should say, soccer. His books, while particular, have a much more human and compassionate feel. He has high standards and won't budge on them, which I like.
I also loved Julia Child! And Jacques Pepin. Ming Tsai. I like the "Yan Can Cook" show - he takes us to interesting locales to explore their foods. Anyone remember "The Galloping Gourmet"? what a hoot he was. Alton Brown is good for the science of cooking. He gets a bit wacky, but I can deal with it. Mostly. hehe I really like any of the good chefs out there these days. I like the competition shows too. It's amazing what these people can produce under pressure.
I guess I'm just a foodie at heart. But then, here we all are -- I suspect most of us are in that category! Now, if we could just learn to control our impulses toward it! lol Yes... we're trying!

Gordon Ramsay -- love him. He's always developing new recipes and he understands that everyday people eat everyday foods.
