Neither, Exercise bike, kept in front of your tv, the other stuff, will be in a yard sale after awhile, because they aren't as fun, and you can't grow older doing them with a smile on your face. Get 2 exercise bikes, if there are more of you in the house.
Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

The TreadClimber is nice, but you can't run on it. It can be use 3 ways, one as treadmill, elliptical, and the TreadClimber. You can definitely can feel your core working while you using the climbing feature. You can set the resistance as well.
Progress may be slow, but it happens! No such thing as last place only finishers.

I loved the tread climber when they had them at the Y. No, I don't think it would be possible to run on it, but I don't see it as being anything like an elliptical (which I really don't like).
the tread climber has 2 separate belts, side by side. It takes more balance. I always had to have one hand close to the rail in case I lost my balance. The description that they give on the infomercial 'like walking through sand' is pretty accurate.
I agree - the best, most effective exercise is the one you will do.
You don't have to spend a lot of money to exercise. Walk, run, climb stairs, do body weight exercises, use the free exercise videos on Spark or YouTube, check out DVDs from your library - there are lots of low cost or no cost options!

The tread climber is a very one function machine. You walk with the elliptical motion. You can't run on it, to my understanding. Wouldn't be my thing, but some people use it effectively. The hype is just that though - hype.
I personally have a treadmill. I walk on incline and run on it. I also sometimes will just walk normally while watching TV to get some movement in or to work out some aches. My parents have an elliptical that I use when I am at their place, but I think that I am the only one that uses it. A friend has a spin bike (which I don't think she uses).
I love my treadmill, and it's a great tool for when I can't get out to run or don't hit the gym. Or as a way to get some extra movement. However, probably, at this point in my fitness, I would have chosen something else.
