I agree with the others, at least 6 weeks. Depends on what your "bounce back" ability is. I know after having pneumonia (a couple of times in my 20's) my body takes much longer, no matter what the issue is, to bounce back. Best of luck with your healing and hope you're happy with your results.

If the journey was easy I wouldn't appreciate the benefits I reap.

I agree with others about appx 6 wks. You did not mention what you had done to your breasts, however. Did you have them enhanced? The normal saline implants (or whatever kind) can add a small amount (even after the swelling has gone down, but that's not fat weight). Be patient. Be easy on yourself the first couple of weeks and then you can probably start back on some easy exercising. Follow the doctors advice, of course!!

Yes, whenever anyone on a tv show has that done, they always say it takes around 6 good weeks for the swelling to go down.

Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

Haven't had that surgery but would imagine that all types of surgery cause swelling.

I do think you should call your surgeon's office, though, and check with them for any questions, since no one on a message board can give medical advice.

I've never had it done, but I would imagine that it would take a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down.

Yep it can take weeks for the swelling to go down. Eat well... Excess calories will cause the scale to rise, even after lipo!

At least a couple of weeks. Everybody is different, but for me six weeks is about average for abdominal surgeries. After brain surgery, I had some swelling for a whole year.

It does take a while. Lipo is very taxing on the body and remember, you removed a portion of your body that your skin shapes over. It has to reshape itself.

Just be careful. I know someone who had lipo to their stomach/abdomen area. They gained the all the weight back in a couple years.
