I agree with the others, at least 6 weeks. Depends on what your "bounce back" ability is. I know after having pneumonia (a couple of times in my 20's) my body takes much longer, no matter what the issue is, to bounce back. Best of luck with your healing and hope you're happy with your results.

I agree with others about appx 6 wks. You did not mention what you had done to your breasts, however. Did you have them enhanced? The normal saline implants (or whatever kind) can add a small amount (even after the swelling has gone down, but that's not fat weight). Be patient. Be easy on yourself the first couple of weeks and then you can probably start back on some easy exercising. Follow the doctors advice, of course!!

Yep it can take weeks for the swelling to go down. Eat well... Excess calories will cause the scale to rise, even after lipo!

Just wanting to blow a little steam...so please no judging me everyone's boat floats differently..
So I fell into society pressure and just had plastic surgery to my breast and lipo to my lower body....I am still swollen and feel a little frustrated that my weight has not moved in a week and a bit even though I have never been more strict with my eating habits....I guess I want instant gratification....
Can anyone just ease my mind that sugery swelling does take a couple weeks to go away and that Im not going crazy....thanks a million
