-do they fit?
-wicking material?
-non scratchy/rubbing?
-affordable?

Those are my criteria. I'm not very brand loyal. I will wear anything as long as it fits my criteria.

I'm cheap and try to avoid paying full price on anything. I buy what's on sale at TJ Maxx or Marshalls that fits.

It doesn't take long for my workouts to ruin my workout clothing. I think we've all seen how sweat stains can ruin shirts over time. That's why I won't spend a lot of money on something I know I'm going to be replacing in a few weeks or months.

T shirts and a decent workout bra for me, nothing fancy.

I like them to be pretty and comfortable, but they have to be cheap. No Lululemon pants for me.

Made it to my maintenance weight of 125 pounds.

Even though I have reached goal. I still don't know everything about weight loss.

I exercise at home so it really doesn't matter what I look like, but I find that having something special to wear makes me feel better about myself, and I think that's important. I usually wear capris and tee shirts or tank tops. I look for things on clearance racks and I try to wear matching outfits...at least color coordinated.

I go for low cost and comfort. I only buy one winter outfit, usually a pair of yoga pants and a long sleeve tee, I wear a down vest over it when I go outside. Then I get a summer outfit of yoga type shorts and short sleeve tee. I live in FL and work out outside, it is so incredible hot I try to go out right when the sun starts coming up, no amount of wicking type clothes seems to make a difference. I wear the same outfit 4-5 days even if it gets a little stinky, I workout alone, then it gets washed and put back on the hook for the next days workout.

I look for price, quality and design before any other considerations when I buy workout gear. I prefer dark colours. I usually get the items from Kohl's, Penney's or online at Amazon. I prefer wicking material so I don't sweat to death since in the summer it can get as high as 117 degrees here!

In terms of yoga clothing it can be a little bit different because I need comfort in order to practise effectively. Most of the time I find my gear on Amazon or at Kohl's though!

Does it seem like it would be easy to move in?
Does it cover everything I want covered?
Cost is important.
Brand names are not. I don't like logos all over me.
I like colorful tops and neutral colored bottoms.

Most of my exercise clothes come from Target (I love their CG brand) and Kohl's. Many of my tops are race shirts because many of them are now the tech shirts which are great for sweaty workouts because they don't hold the moisture like cotton does. I have a few pieces from Old Navy, which have held up well and their sports bras, which I got on sale for $10 are nice, too.

Design and function.

Love the Athleta Contender2 in 1 Capri pants. Like yoga pants w/ a cute short skirt built in.
Kind of pricey, but worth it because A) no one has to see my butt when I'm running or lifting and B) they hold up - through repeated wearing and washings, they don't pill.

They are on clearance now, being replaced by another similar item, the Accelerator 2 in 1.

They're cute enough to wear w/ sandals or flip flops when doing errands around town. Super comfy!

Hi all!

I'm very curious to know, when you go shopping for active wear, what are you looking for? Like, specifically.. is it design, fabric, brand, cost, etc? What are some qualities of your favorite workout clothes that you already own?

The more specific you can be the better! I appreciate any and all input. Thanks!
