Thank you all for the encouragement, things are going really well right now and the more I lose the more motivated I become. I am looking forward to having that ahh moment when I look in the mirror and see my old self again.

Congrats on quitting smoking--that is a huge health benefit you should be proud of! I just turned 40 last June. My accomplishment was running a 10k. I always was able to do a 5k, but too chicken to try a 10k. Last year about this time, I decided if I'm going to turn 40, I'm going to do it with a bang:)

These words are my driving force.
I quit smoking over 2 years ago and for the first time have packed on the pounds. For quite some time I have been feeling bad about my new appearance, having to buy bigger clothes and wondering if it is ever going to stop.
Times are changing!!
I have decided that with my 40th birthday approaching I WILL do what it takes to look my best and feel my best. I didn't quit smoking so that I could feel bad...
At this time I have lost my first 5 pounds and already feel better in my skin..
I look forward to more success and being able to be my best at 40. Smoke free, fat free and ready to tackle life as the best me that I can be.
Please share with me your successes so that we can celebrate together.
