Well...maybe next time look at the menu to see if there are healthy options. Depends on the place, maybe a grilled chicken salad with low fat dressing. Turkey wrap. Soup. That kind of stuff.
Or, order something, and only eat half...bring the other half home for dinner or save for the next day's lunch.
How often do they get takeout? I used to just get it on friday....kinda as an end of the week treat - not every day.
You do need to learn to work in the occasional treat. Cause life happens! You might decide to have that 700 calorie occasional lunch - and make it a point to have a smaller, lower calorie dinner. Or even once and a while go above your intake by 200 calories - doing that on occasion (notice I keep using the words "on occasion") will not kill you. Yes, doing so every day will stall your weight loss....once a week? Not so much.
The best exercise in the world is to bend down and help someone up.
