When I reach my goal I will continue doing what I am now. Tracking my food and get some form of exercise in everyday. I believe that just because I have reached goal it does not mean I can take it easy. I gained this weight because I was careless with my eating and I do not want it to happen again.

Get professional photos taken, buy a cute swimsuit, take a trip somewhere, try a zip line! Trying to balance doing what I want at any size, but also looking forward to not having that fear that my weight will get in the way of the experience.

And on the boring practical yet crucial side, maintain!

Its getting warmer at least we had two good days and I tell ya its awesome who would have known that the 50s would be so awesome! I hope to get out of my mom or maternity style clothes because I am not pregnant and nobody wants to look like they are un-less they are!

Exercise every other day for the rest of my life.

When I reach my goal for fat loss, I'll make new goals in my workouts. Such as, improving whatever I'm working on at that time, improving conditioning, and learning new skills. Eventually I'd like to learn to handstand, and other gymnastic/yoga type feats.

Last summer I was working on Bridge/Wheel pose, Headstands and aiming to get a pull-up (I was jumping up to the bar and slowly lowering down). After a 6-month break from exercising and eating way more than usual, I'm now too heavy to do any of these things. I'm looking forward to being able to get back to learning these again, and when my weight gets even lower (ie long term goal) I'll want to move onto even more challenging things.

Wow ! That is awesome. Good for you. Its also a smart goal. You will feel so much better.
I will feel so much better if I can lose my 35 pounds. I am having hip pain. I'm pretty sure not carrying around the excess weight should relieve most of that. Pray for me !

Get pregnant! I am in the process of becoming a surrogate again so I want to hit my recent goal prior to pregnancy so I don't gain as much weight and If i am working out regularly now I will continue throughout the pregnancy!

I have been on this journey with all my ups and downs with weight loss/gain. Now I'm down again and praying that I will maintain. I'm tired of being a yo-yo. I have a routine now with eating oatmeal in the morning which I feel has helped me feel full all morning long. Drinking plenty of water which I started doing when I started with SP. I make a salad to enjoy with my meals at work and I make sure to have a veggie for supper every night. Plenty of portion control. Mindset.

I second that notion Babciatea! Its April and you guys know what that mean new fashions are out I think Ive gotten about 2 dozen magazines already. on the inside Im not over weight and sometimes I get lost in the oh thats nice and then I realize I have to work even harder to reach my goal "cause of sizing issues .

Two things have really helped me reach the 5 a day fruit and veg goal. First I try to think of veggies as the main dish and meat or carbs as more of a flavoring element. Second I try to make sure I start the day with at least 2 veggies or fruit so I don't have as much to fit in the rest of the day.

Roughly 6 lbs from my goal and trying to figure out what changes will need to be made to go from losing to maintaining.

I still have my long term running goals and I am taking 2 dance classes a week, so that will help w/ maintenance.

My goal is not exactly weight loss... it's to run my second marathon faster than my first (I ended up walking a lot of my first and took 6 1/2 hours... granted it was a Disney marathon, so I had lots of fun stopping for pictures, and I just wanted to finish). I'm on sparkpeople to track my nutrients as I train. I do tend to lose a little weight as I train, so I have a tentative weight goal, but I think the biggest reward I'm looking forward to is just to do my best on the marathon this fall. I'll probably reward that with new running clothes :) As I've lost weight through training, I've been fitting into clothes I haven't worn in a few years, which has definitely been exciting!

Continue to be in AWE of what God has helped me accomplish...and keep on doing my exercise and food tracking. I refuse to undo what I have accomplished be throwing caution to the wind.

I've had to buy clothes along the way...but I can now find what I want at thrift stores, to make the money go a lot farther.

I have broken my weight loss into three monthly goals. When I reach my final goal weight I will set new goals to continue to exercise and maintain what I have lost.

I will reward myself with new clothes - I'm surprised no one has said anything about me wearing the same clothes since the beginning of the year. emoticon

When i reach my goal, i will set another goal! i am only 8 pounds away from my short term goal, and feel positive that i can reach it in the next few weeks! i hope to lose another 30 to 40 pounds by August, and i am fully prepared to do what i have to do and give up things that i love, including my sanity sometimes, to reach my goal and FINALLY!!!! know what confidence in myself feels like. since i have lost 25 pounds, i have become obsessed with touching my neck, simply because i am not used to it feeling so thin!!! if i lightly run my finger tips over my collar bones, they are there, i can feel them! i could not be more excited!!!

Faith. Trust. Pixie Dust. Believe in yourself, and you'll FLY! You can do anything you put your mind too! LOVE ALWAYS! STAY STRONG AND DIET ON!

i will continue to do what I am doing now. I will live a better life style by eating the right foods not the bad ones full of sugar and too many calories. I will keep moving and be more active because I will now be able to.

Like they say its easy to put on but hard to get rid of. I saw myself in a picture and this is the God given truth I asked who was that in the back ground. Genuinely not recognizing that, that was me. So I know it going to be rough but I am willing to fight for it!

When I loose I will of course take more pictures!

I will not support the fat!!

When I started out, I knew I would have to break my aspirations into a series of small goals. I set 23 pounds as my first goal. It took six months but I reached that goal about 2 weeks ago. I'm now working on the next 10 pounds -- have lost 2. So, each time I reach one mark I set a new one. When I get to my final goal weight, new goals probably will be to maintain for one month, another month, and so on.


No magic potions. No fairy dust. No one to push you. No one to do it for you. Just one determined foot in front of the other.
