I have been trying store brand names and found most food products are comparable to brand names.

"One Meal at a Time"

"One Day at a Time."

"Smile through your fears and sorrows , Smile and maybe tomorrow you'll see the sun come shining through if you'll just Smile."

"Like sands through the hour glass, so are the " Days of our Lives."

"Because I'm Worth It!"

Generally, I am not devoted to brand names. However, there are a few things for which I prefer the nationally known brand over generics.

I am not devoted to any brand name.

However, if you have a product with consistent quality at a reasonable price, I am likely to be a loyal customer.

I do have some brands that I prefer for certain things.

Really depends on the product. I try the store brand over the name brand in some cases they taste the same so I buy the store brand. There are certain things that just aren't the same so I will pay for the brand name.

I do a lot of comparison shopping. I have found that store brands are usually as expensive or more expensive than the name brand. I am still reeling from that $6 jar of store brand PB when the name brand was only $4

Made it to my maintenance weight of 125 pounds.

Even though I have reached goal. I still don't know everything about weight loss.

I have certain name brand loyalties such as laundry soap, deodorant, dish soap.
I have loyalties to zero food name brands, something new in my life. Gave it up when I retired and income bracket changed. I am amazed at the good quality in of today's off brands. I am a huge fan of Aldi's Fit and Lean branding. The products I use are without fault.

No, doesn't matter the brand as long as it's safe, fits my budget and is useful for my needs.

PS: side note I used to have brand loyalty when things were made better, but even the brands I used to buy 20 years ago until now aren't well made products anymore. Most companies are cutting corners to provide inferior product, not all but most from my experience and my purchases of high end to the low end purchases of the same product seem to not be much difference now.

My comment applies to everything tfrom household goods, furniture, cars and certain foods etc.

My plumber told me that the quilted toilet tissue that I like wasn't good for the plumbing. He said the cheap thin kind was best! Go figure!

I like a few brand name things like whenever I buy mayonnaise it has to be Hellman's (even though I rarely have to buy it) and my ketchup has to be Heinz and the mustard has to be French's, but other then that I am not brand loyal. I am trying to break the cookie habit so I would buy the least expensive ones so that I would hate them and not want to eat them, but guess what I like them…ugh

Always Pads, Bounty Paper towels, Oxy clean stain pre treat and Downey yes I am brand loyal. I could use either Whisk or Era detergent. I am allergic to Tide and those other two are the only detergents besides Tide that get clothes as clean as I like.

I have comparison shopped for years. Stores expect you to buy store brands. So they purposefully make the store brand more expensive than the brand name. Knowing that you will just assume the store brand is a better deal.

Case in point. I was looking at Peanut Butter. The natural PB store brand was $6 and natural Skippy was $4. Same size and same ingredients.

Other than the above I am not brand loyal.

I'm totally brand loyal for the most part, sometimes on brands my mother used to use, so I've been accustomed to them for a long time (I'm 43).

I tend to stock up on the brands I love when I find them on sale. For example, I have six months of Centrum chew vitamins in my pantry right now because I found combo packs on special price for $4.98 when they are usually $9.99 for one bottle. I even had a coupon to use for one of them, so $4.98 less $1.75. I'll take that, thanks.

Peanut butter? Totally picky. Frozen pizza? Totally picky. Same with ice cream, Tums, Colgate sensitive toothpaste, laundry detergent, toilet paper, kleenex, tomato sauce, etc.

I do buy generic ibuprofen though - there's one thing! My brand companies love me though. :)

For the most part with food, I use generic. Flour is pretty much flour, after all. Most health and beauty items, I use the name brand because generic just does not offer what I like, but I do use some. Just depends on the item.

For clothes, I have some brands that I like because they work for me in terms of fit, etc., but I usually refuse to pay full price, shopping sales and clearance. And for just a plain cotton tshirt, paying more than $5 (if that) is just wrong.

I'll change brands if it becomes hard to find, or I need a change. If they don't have the brand of something that I like and I need it, I usually will get another brand. I have very, very few things that I would refuse to use a more convenient alternative.

It really depends on the product. Some things to me don't matter, but there are some where the brand name is superior so I'd rather spend my money on the product that fits my needs.

It depends on the product. I've found that most "generic" or supermarket brand products are not that much different from branded products. So, I buy things like generic canned veggies or household products.

However, I do like some brands better than generics.

Take Crest Pro Health dental rinse. It's expensive and I only buy it when it's on sale. So, one day I decided to try Walgreen's generic to see if I could save money. According to the label, it's supposed to have the same ingredients. I tried it. I didn't like it. I think the Crest Pro Health was a much better product than the Walgreen's generic.

I've even bought generics from the dollar store. I'll admit, I do think their stuff is a little too cheap. I'll buy the brand names for less at the dollar store.

depends totally on what i am buying .. some things it doesn't pay to go cheap, like the example below, fitness shoes , or bras (especially for large breasted women) ... i will buy generic/off brand for most things but some not so much .. LOL

Except for running shoes and sports bras, I'll generally do whatever is cheapest.

It depends on what I'm buying. For the most part, no. But there are certain products I prefer, and will buy those. Most of the time I buy store brands, since they're typically less expensive than brand-names, even if I have coupons for the brands.

Not at all.

When I'm buying clothes I don't need them to last too long as I still need to lose a complete dress size.

With food, I want good value for money so I don't go for brand names, but I don't buy cheap rubbish either. I do look for special offers though!

There are some brands that I always use, while other things don't matter as much. It depends a lot on the product. It's not necessarily the specific brand, but quality, taste if a food item, ease of use, etc. all play a part in making a decision.
