It depends on how the chicken is prepared and what the side dishes are.
I like all of the bread choices just not with every possible way of cooking chicken. I think a dinner roll would go with the most things.

favorite would be a biscuit. (I know a lot of Southern people)

SheryLDS, you should have my moms biscuits. Four inches tall and so light and fluffy. They are so wonderful. I would bet you would like those

I can't imagine eating any bread or biscuits with a chicken dinner! If I'm catering for a crowd it would be jacket potatoes baked in the oven or, for a smaller number, roast or mashed potatoes or maybe baby potatoes and, again for simplicity with large scale catering, frozen peas and sweetcorn. (For a smaller number it would be a variety of vegetables.)

mashed potatoes and gravy, and, at some point, we will all be having some of that again, now and then.......................

Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

An easy chicken dinner is into a lg. pan or crockpot..layer veggies of choice and top with seasoned chicken..seal pan..bake slowly ..have a side of biscuits ,.or cornbread, or dinner rolls.. and a fresh veggie salad..For dessert have a jello salad..Acturally my favorite way with chicken is barbequed with a sweet tomato/vinegar dressing, sides :cole slaw, dinner rolls, and what ever suits my fancy. Lately I love the ice cream made out of bananas..Its so delish..you would never know its not the real thing.

In my opinion, the safest option would be dinner rolls.

My personal preference is sourdough if it's breaded chicken or (and I've heard that this is heresy to a true Southerner) sweet cornbread if it's grilled chicken.

Really, it depends on how the chicken is prepared and what the side dishes are. Different breads go better with different foods (although I'm not entirely sure that biscuits go with anything - but that's a personal quirk!).

For taste, I love cornbread - especially the Jiffy™ mix!
Biscuits seem more a breakfast item, IMO.

I'm not supposed to be eating either one, since they're both loaded with carbs.
Two of my favorite chicken recipes used to use either the Jiffy™ mix as a topping (also great on chili casseroles), or chicken-n-dumplings using Bisquick™ mix as the dumplings.

I miss those things!
I just have the filling without the breadies now... but my mouth remembers!

Fried chicken: biscuits
Grilled chicken: dinner rolls

If I want a healthy option, I'd go with grilled or steamed veggies for one side and a baked sweet potato for the other. maybe a small tossed garden salad to start.

If I'm not feeling overly healthy, mac and cheese please !

PS - Dinner roll. lol.

I like cornbread and biscuits - but rolls are the easiest and lowest caloric for a crowd that size.

I think biscuits would be the most popular.

Which bread option do you prefer be served with chicken: biscuits, cornbread, or dinner roll?

Serving 55-75 adults from all over the US. Seeking your personal opinion, not what you think they would like. :)
Not diet related event so whatever you like best tastewise. Side dishes are already set, I just need to decide the bread.
