My youngest had a reaction to some bandaids once; she's never had one before or since, and I suspect it may have been the glue in the cheap bandaids we used. She had two perfect little bandaid-shaped rashes! It hasn't happened since (even though we have used the same ones since) so I suspect a manufacturing glitch.

Thanks everyone!

My skin is irritated from the flexible band-aids. Not sure why. I've worn band-aids all my life! Today I am using a gauze pad with paper tape. I'll be surprised if the paper tape makes it til lunch. Ha! emoticon

Had a couple of moles removed & took a few weeks to heal. I found out I was allergic to the surgical tape they used to attach bandage though. That was more painful…red & itchy.

I had one taken off my face in Oct. the same way. Kind of scary! It took about 2 weeks to heal. Glad you went back to the doctor.

Yes, always a good idea to go in and have it checked though. My husband is going in for radiation on one of those areas, where it was skin cancer, and thank goodness they are doing the radiation to be sure to get it all. Keep on getting things checked out!!

Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

Thank you. The nurse actually called me not long after I posted this. I went in to the office, it's not infected. Back wounds just take longer to heal. (wish someone had told me this when the procedure was done!)

I had one done a couple three years ago. If I recall correctly, it took a couple weeks to heal up but there were instructions about keeping it covered, what to put on it, etc. At any rate, the absolute best thing to do is go back to the dermatologist & have them look at it. *Sometimes* with doctor offices, they do call-backs right before/ after lunch or whatever, if it isn't an emergency. Still, you could call them back and express how concerned you are or ask if it's okay for you to come in at such-and-such a time, could they just look at it.

Has anyone had this done before? Dermatologist removed a mole on my back 2/5. It still hasn't healed and is quite uncomfortable when any pressure is applied. It looks like a dark hole with a red ring around it. I'm thinking it may be infected but not sure. I called the office over an hour ago and no one has called me back. Thanks.
