Story touched this family of 6 - We have a disabled 17 year old daughter and because of her we do see the world a little differently.
Love how he hugged his brother before shaking the hand of the Prime Minister. Truly a very special bond between them.

Yes I am very proud of all my fellow Canadians for their grace and exemplifying teamwork and the very best of the human spirit. Take for example today where a speed skater gave up his place in a race for a long standing member of the team who had bad luck in at qualifying in the meets in Canada due to falling 25 metres from the finish. This athlete thought the older more experienced teammate would bring home a medal for the team....and you know what, the older athlete did bring home a silver!

I don't remember them from the last Olympics but it was a great story, really pulled on your heart strings. I love that the Gold medalist wasn't ashamed of his brother and took him right over the fence. Some probably would of been ashamed (nothing to be ashamed of what a beautiful spirit), I loved how he let the world see his love for his brother who inspires him to work even harder.

Starting to like the new me!

didn't see it, but I will look for it on YouTube. Love it when we get a chance to share the best of people instead of the worst.

I was amazed to see the love between the Canadien brothers at the Olympics, one a gold medalist the other his disabled brother who when that skier realized he had a good run he pulled his brother over the fence to celebrate with him.
You don't see much brotherly love or love period on T.V. and I was glad that they celebrated these two lovely souls enjoying a moment together on the big stage.
When he dedicated his gold to his brother I just broke down and cried it was an amazing moment at these Olympics.
