I agree about looking for those non scale victories while you are waiting for the scale to catch up. You are so much more than a number on a scale.
My DD has PCOS and has a hard time getting the scale to move. But with a healthy diet and exercise she lost 30#s over a couple of years and is maintaining it. She can also out dance, out hike and generally out do all of her friends in just about everything physical that they do. Her stamina is awesome. She also feels really good which is what this is all about.
Try setting some physical goals: Walk a mile in 30 minutes then 1.5 miles in 30 minutes etc Climb a flight of stairs Climb a flight of stairs without needing oxygen (I live at altitude...7500ft, a mile and a half high. When I moved here from sea level, a half flight of stairs left me huffing and puffing and looking for O2) Anyway, you get the idea
Also look at how clothes fit, measurements, stamina, how you feel, how you are sleeping. Track how many streaks you can get going: Eating 5 fruits/vegs a day, exercising 30 minutes a day.
You can do this.

I do agree with Obie. The scale is not the only way to measure success. When the scale doesn't seem to want to move, look for NON scale victories. I don't know how long you've been trying to lose, but try to think of things that have changed since you started.
Can you walk up stairs without getting winded ? Can you carry more bags of groceries without getting tired ? Can you walk or run a mile faster today than you could say a month ago ? Do you have more energy ? Are you sleeping better ? How's your blood pressure ? Do you know that if your blood pressure dropped in the past month, your doctor would be thrilled even if the scale didn't move.
Lowering your blood pressure (or cholesterol or blood sugar) are HUGE health benefits !!
When will the scale move ? Hard to say. I know several members with PCOS have posted that losing weight is difficult, BUT not impossible. So, don't worry ! Think about all the good things you're doing for your body with the changes you're making. The scale will move eventually, but you'll just need to be more patient with yourself and your body.
Hormonal issues put a whole different twist on any weight-loss regime. Have you consulted your doctor(s) about how best to approach this? They might be able to offer some insight into how to manage your various autoimmune conditions alongside weight loss. Your meds may be having impact on that effort, too.
My endocrinologist has put us on a prescription diet, and it's working well for myself and my T2D husband. I'm also fighting an autoimmune condition, alongside another which is typically considered a version of autoimmune disease: leaky gut (our endo likes to call me "metabolically deranged", the bum! LOL). While you can't cure the sort of AI I have, I'm certainly improving the severity of the leaky gut.
I'll be very happy to share our Rx and my results with you if you care to PM me. Mentioning such things on the open forums tends to create some hysteria and complaint, so I'm trying to control my otherwise helpful desires.

I have been consistently tracking my food, logging my exercise etc and I have not lost. I'm gaining! I have hypothyroidism, PCOS and metabolic syndrome. Has anyone had any success in losing with this combination?
