I am using HIIT.
I'm more out of shape than I thought I was, so I'm hoping the intervals will give me a boost.
I used to be very fit and now I am not. I've been advised that intervals will help me get conditioned more quickly. I'm hoping it will. I used intervals before and enjoyed them, just to see how I could push myself.
Right now, my high intensity walking/running rate is probably close where my warm-ups used be. I get the urge to push really hard, to do what I was doing before, but I know that could lead to injury. The intervals give me a chance to feel little bursts of glory.
