I live in southern Minnesota close to the Iowa border. I've been here since I was a child, but it didn't seem as cold when I was young as it is now. All the snow and cold make it so I don't even leave my house some days even though I really might need to. It is getting nicer now which I have to say is a wonderful change, especially seeing the buds on trees and flowers starting to come out of the ground. I hope we only go up in temperature from now on, no more extra cold days or nights.

I lived in Michigan for 30 years then moved to the central coast area of California where it is temperate most of the year - no mosquitos, humidity, tornadoes, etc and a beautiful place. The worst I can say is we are in a drought, and have the occasional earthquake.
Someday when I retire I might move elsewhere to stretch my dollars but I wouldn't move back to the extreme cold of the Midwest for anything. I do miss the seasons and lakes and nature in general but I just can't take the overcast clouds & grey skies nor the long dark winter days. Glad though that others can make the best of it.
