No.

With every new day there should be changes, not just based on one symbolic day of the year.

Every morning you wake up is a new day, the past is in the past. So start each day as a 'NEW DAY'

No as I see no reason to fix what is not broke. If it is working why change for a new year

I hope so. Hopefully I can reach my weight loss goal, save enough money to get a car, and pay for training courses for CNA and than start living the life I want to live.

Never did see the 'magic' in the clock rolling over at midnight on a particular day. Life is a continuum. We bring the same person into the new year. It's all about giving it our best shot every day. emoticon

Yes, last year my mom died and I gained back 16 pounds of the pounds I had lost before. This year I am focusing on all the positive things in my life with my family. I have to take care of myself so I can feel good and be healthy. I love being with my family and taking care of them.

not necessarily dieting...just trying to eat healthier, skip the bagel have oatmeal instead, less take out and some sort of exercise program....if I can do that...I've won!

I sure hope 2014 is the year of change for me. Last year my company closed and, after 13 years, I found myself unemployed. The stress of seeking and not finding a job led me to comfort eating. That of course, led to weight gain and feeling negative about myself. However, that day is done. I decided that I will lose this weight and I will find a job. Whatever obstacles I encounter while working toward these goals will not stop me. 2014 is definitely a year of change. I plan to make those changes in my favor.

I started Sparkpeople back in 2011 and lost 35 lbs. toward my goal of losing 50 lbs. I slowly lost focus and quick food tracking and even more slowly regained all but 10 lbs. Uhgg! Saw some summer picks of me while looking at pictures over Christmas break, and really realized how much I have backslid. 2014, is a jumpstart for me, and this time I won't let myself get sidetracked before reaching my goal (because I have an awful mental picture to keep me going)!

2014 is a year of change! I recently retired and plan to travel as well as mark a few things off my bucket list. This year, I am hoping to incorporate more healthy choices as I order and eat out while traveling. In addition, I will make sure exercise is incorporated into my daily plan. I finally have time to make a plan, work the plan and meet my short and long term goals. I am very excited to have SPARKPEOPLE and this community to help me reach them.

Changes - of course! Reaching my goal this year will be a big change, but not a sudden one. This year is the year that I want to keep doing what I am doing with only minor adjustments! That said, being halfway to my goal has already caused, and will continue to cause, some pretty big changes, but those aren't ones I have to make . . .

Absolutely! I wanted last year to be at my goal weight by Spring so that by then I could maintain and be ready for wedding dress shopping. Well I didn't stick to it and by the time I went wedding dress shopping in June I'd probably only lost about 6lbs. Trying on those dresses I knew I wanted to have more weight off by the time I went in for a fitting. I did lose more weight by my fitting... not my full goal but I was happy with the loss.
THIS year, I want to stick to my goal of reaching my ideal weight by this Spring because now I just want and NEED to go shopping! Tired of holding on to the same old clothes year in and year out, season in and season out!

Yes, 2013 was a bad year for my family. I am hoping that 2014 will be a much better year. I am really working at trying to take care of myself this year as well as still taking care of the family members that need me.

For me, it means a continuation of what I am doing to lose weight-Plan on reaching my goal this year. 2013 was a rollercoaster ride for me, not only fell off the wagon a few times but down the hill and over the cliff! Mom passed away along with other family issues that are not yet resolved. 2014 is a Clean slate to do with as I wish!
