Reluctantly. There's so much of it I simply don't want to know.
I don't care about celebrity happenings. I don't trust opinion and most commentary on the horrors of what's coming; so much of it DOESN'T come, or else it's coming anyway and there's not much I can do about it, or the opinions are just wrong and I fret myself up over nothing. We rarely get the good news. Isn't there any? I sure would love to see some network offer a good-news version: things we've accomplished, happy endings, things in process that we might be able to support... how come it all has to be dire warnings and depressing topics?
Most of my "news" is in my email, from sources I've opted to receive updates from. Even those don't suit me sometimes. But I can delete them.
Honestly? if I had the money and the wherewithal, I'd live in some remote natural environment and initiate contact myself - computer access is ubiquitous. Or mostly so. "Civilization" is overrated, IMO.
...the problem with people these days is they've forgotten we're really just animals ... (attributation forgotten)
We did not create the web of life; we are but a strand in it. ~attributed to Chief Seattle
We don't have souls. We ARE souls. We have bodies. ~C.S. Lewis

Local news with a twice weekly newspaper. Daily news from TV 3 times per day. Internet news only when I turn on the pc and see the headlines, sometimes click to read more, but mostly not, too much celebrity nonsense on there.
Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

With internet and television, and all our little gadgets we have it seems the newspaper is going the way of the typewriter. Do you still read your daily newspaper, or do you prefer getting your news from the internet or tv.
I do all three. The newspaper is mostly for my local city news, and events that are going on. I get the bulk of my news from the internet, and the New York Times on line.
