This one is hard to come up with. How do you celebrate? my road is very long to go. So it's just feeling glad the scale moved down. I guess it could be getting out some of the new years horns and toot for the steps accomplished so far.

This is a topic I plan on figuring out before the end of January. There have been a lot of great ideas from previous posters. What I really liked was the idea that the celebration or reward be proportionate to the level of the goal achieved.

I guess that would depend on the level of the goal. A major goal like weight goal or fitness goal could mean a new fitness gadget or something for my bike. I have made it a point not to reward myself with food for reaching goals.

I am just now beginning again and this will be the first time that my reward isn't food. I am enjoying reading what others do as a reward. I think I agree with Grandmababa, new clothes might be just the ticket.

I've been wondering what I'll do! I had goals the first time, but this time I don't have as much to lose and I don't have anything set in mind that I really want to do. I think it's important to celebrate. I need to come up with some things! I like the ideas on here - manicure, pedicure, massage. All good stuff!

for little goals, I get a manicure. If I hit a big one, I get a manicure and pedicure. Those are real splurges for me since the budget doesn't allow for it very often.

I used to reward myself with something to eat. Usually it was full of calories and not a very healthy choice. Now I've decided to reward myself with time. An extra hour to exercise or just to read a book or just relax with my husband.

I always try new activities. My favorites so far have been zip lining and kayaking. I always felt to big to do either of them before losing weight. They now are two of my most favorite things that I do for me. I've decided that my next new activity will be paddle boating.

I enjoy posting small goals here on the trackers. For bigger goals, I buy myself a magazine or a bottle of nail polish or a small makeup item. Not food! I am still learning to get over the childhood behavior of being rewarded with food.

I celebrate every time I lose one pound on the scale by announcing it to my husband and asking for a high five. I love changing my weight down on my Spark People tracker and posting my weekly progress on the side of my Spark page.

When I lose 10 pounds toward my slimmer weight I will redeem my Christmas gift certificate to Nordstrom from my dear friend and we will shop for new clothes together. My husband said he will multiply the gift certificate amount! Love him. He is always so supportive of any of my goals.

I did something that made me feel really good, I cleaned out my closet and gave the clothes away to a charity group looking for donations, while promising never to miss them because they were both too big and going to people who needed them more than I do. Next 10 pounds I´ll reward myself with a pedicure. emoticon

I have a very hard time sticking to anything so I've decided to reward myself every week if I complete all the things I told myself I would do. My first Reward is to rent a new movie. I will probably keep things like that in mind for future rewards also. For big accomplishments like the loss of 30lbs or more will probably be clothes even if it is at goodwill. lol

I am striving for consistence. I really want to change my habits to include exercise and drinking the right amount of water everyday. To make healthier eating choices, and to stop eating when I'm bored.

I have an amazon wishlist for rewards. I usually go for things like nail polish, shoes, silly stuff. I also have "healthy" stuff on there to make my new habits easier; like workout dvds, fitdecks, salad claws, foodsaver, etc.

When I hit my ultimate goal weight I will likely be investing in a large and meaningful tattoo. I've been wanting a chest piece for a long time. I have a whole pinterest board dedicated to ideas for that bad boy.

I give myself little rewards. The more weight I lose, then the bigger the rewards get. My dream is to go to Ireland, but I don't want to go overweight. I want to hike & completely enjoy myself. If I lose the 50 lb. goal I have set then I'm going to go there.

Just reaching my goals are reward enough for me but if you look at my Spark Page you'll see I give myself small goodies to mark the occasion!

"If a person wants to be a part of your life, they will make an obvious effort to do so. Think twice before reserving a space in your heart for people who do not make an effort to stay."

"Your happiness is up to you. Whatever happened in your life to make you who you are up until this point is irrelevant. It is your responsibility now to take control and change your life to be what you want it to be. Energy and persistence conquer all things. Make time, not excuses."

I am an actor, so my goal is new headshots. I have lost 60 lbs so far, and I now have 13 lbs left until I meet my ultimate weight-loss goal!!! Also, another wrote about a new bottle of nail polish as a reward... I am so doing that!

I have reached my goal and will keep on keeping on. I did splurge and buy a new outfit and coat. Goodwill is also great for saving money. I also indulged in some champagne on New Year's eve. Had a great time.

When I reach a goal in my new journey I am going to treat myself to a book because I love to read and you can read while you are on a walk (listening to an audio book) or if you are on a piece of gym equipment by either listening or putting a book on the front of the machine and just go!

Weight is a number that you have total control over:)

New clothes or shoes or any kind of personal pampering like a manicure or massage.
A new book or magazine.
I also tried new activities like rafting, paddle boating, I even bought a new bike for cycling,

When I reached my final goal, I danced --- in public. So liberating for someone who didn't like to move in front of anyone that might express or even think a critical thought about how big I was--which in my mind was everyone.

Usually anything non-food will work for me.

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

My DH and I are starting Phase 1 South Beach, its tough to make the 2 weeks with NO carbs ~and~ we didnt want to motivate with food...so. When we hit our 2 weeks of SB P1 goal, we're getting a couple's massage together. After that we'll do smaller things based on the goals, trying not to focus on Weight Numbers but on things like Exercise Time, Healthy Meals, Veggies per Day, etc since we want to set examples for our kids(as well as lose weight & get fit)

Whenever I reach a goal within the time limit I had envisioned, I buy myself a new pair of tennis shoes or jeans. This always makes me feel great.

when i reach that 100 lbs lost goal...i will let you know! i really have no idea. it's either get a massage/mani/pedi OR go to a popular local burger joint i used to frequent and eat the fattest cheesiest bacon burger, topped with egg WITH a side of onion rings. that sounds bad but i haven't had meat in over 3 years and i just want a burger. yup, i miss grease. LOL so, we'll see

I bought myself new pants for my 20 pound celebration (2 sizes smaller!) and a beautiful pair of garnet earrings for my 30 pound celebration. I haven't decided yet what I get for reaching 40 pounds.....cause I'm not there yet. It's fun to dream about what I'll buy myself though. I may spring for more fancy earrings or I may spring for an entire season of the workout I love to do when I get home from working the overnight at the hospital (Classical Stretch: Miranda Esmonde White). We'll see!

My planned reward for getting in 250,000 steps this month is a new dress. I planned it for last month, too, but came up a little short. I think I'll make it this month, though!

For years now there were 3 piercings I wanted. When I started my weight loss I boosted my confidence by getting my tragus done. Now that I've hit the half way point I'm going to get my cartilage done in the next few weeks. When I finally hit my goal, I'll get my belly pierced. emoticon

Although I've reached a few goals, I've never rewarded myself with anything & that's something I really need to work on. I know most Sparkers (or just people in general) will buy themselves new clothes or a spa visit or whatever. Just don't know what to do about myself.

I am planning on treating myself to a new pair of running shoes when I finish couch to 5k. Not quite sure what I'll do when I get to my first goal weight. Maybe clothes if I'm running out of things that fit! In the past I've always celebrated with a blow out meal - a day off the diet. But that doesn't work well for me. Better to eat the foods I fancy in moderation as I go along than splurge and feel like I'm missing out the rest of the time!

This one takes some thinking; there usually is so many things going on I forget to stop and smell the "roses" as it were. With the weight loss it means finding smaller appropriate clothes. New walking shoes.
When I loss the first round of weight I splurged and do hot air balloon ride.
