Seeing children perform for any amount of time is heartwarming and really puts me in the spirit of Christmas. As others say, leave quietly between songs if you can.

Just watched an HBO 1/2-hour documentary yesterday about the Louisville Leopards in Manhattan. If you haven't seen it, it's wonderful and uplifting.

Keep a sense of humor. Remember, laughing burns calories too!

Laugh until it hurts! It's one of the few things in life that's still free!!

Any effort is better than no effort!

When my kids were young it use to make me furious that people would start to leave right after their kids performed, in the middle of the program, while the rest of ours were still waiting in the wings.....if you don't want to miss it, I would recommend sitting in the last row so as to not interrupt the show or the parents waiting and watching patiently. emoticon

I think it would be ok to leave early.

Have left after son's high school orchestra performance [several other people were doing the same]. Didn't have time to stay for the Choirs, etc.

Great suggestions to sit in the back. I would add to sit on the aisle seat so that you don't have to walk in front of anyone when you leave.

as everyone else has said, no reason not to go the concert and enjoy yourself. LEC had a really great idea for leaving unobtrusively

good for you for being in the holiday spirit and wanting to be around the performance of music!

Sounds awesome! I'd also try to time leaving such that I'm leaving in between songs.

Go and enjoy! I agree that you should leave as quietly as possible. Perhaps you can sit at the end of a row, close to an exit.

I agree to go and try not to be too disruptive when you leave. Enjoy it!

I would go anyway, although not being one to be late however, life happens! Sit someplace where you're leaving will not disrupt the people around you. I use the church figer! You'll be glad you did! emoticon

After unexpectedly stumbling into a musical performance at the library, I got the hankering to get myself even more into the holiday spirit by attending the children's chorus concert at my local elementary school. However, I looked up the school calendar, and the timing is so that I would have to leave about a half hour before the show actually ends. Even if I do so inconspicuously, would it be too offensive? Should I just not go?
