I've been playing Candy Crush on my ipod. You don't need to ask your friends to help you get to the next level. I've made it to level 191 without asking any "friends" for extra lives or paying to move to the next level. You don't even need tickets. If you're willing to wait, all you need to do to get to the next level is play three challenge games.
The bummer with doing the challenge games is that you have to wait 24 hours until you can play your next challenge game. And another bummer about the challenge games, you get to relive EVIL games from the past.
One level many people seem to get stuck on was level 33. that was the first game that took me five days before I finally beat it. Well, as I progressed through the levels, level 33 became one of my challenge games. Needless to say, spent three or so days trying to beat it yet again !!
I haven't paid one cent for lives, levels or power ups. You don't have to if you're willing to be patient. And yes, I have had games where I was stuck for a week. That was level 123. A week is the longest I've been stuck at any level. And destroying jelly gets more and more challenging as you move up. Just wait til you have to deal with with encroaching chocolate squares. LOL !
I played for a while about a year ago (got it as a free game for my android phone), but then I got to a level where it wouldn't let me advance anymore. If I remember correctly, I either had to get help from friends or pay. I don't have a facebook account and I don't pay for games, so I uninstalled it. Has it changed now so that you can advance further without friends or paying?
I don't currently have any games on my phone, so it might be nice to have one again...

I'm not a candy crush addict, but a bubble pop, and pogo poppit addict. It hasn't ruined my life yet so I guess I'm doing fine. Oh wait a minute my game is calling me. Sneaks off to a corner of the room.

Candy Crush is a matching candy game. You match 3,4, or 5 pieces. to remove them. sometimes you have to bring ingredients down, sometimes you have to remove jelly squares(usually takes two moves to remove completely), sometimes you have a certain amount of time or moves to achieve a score. there are different boards that you must conquer. there are about 10 or so boards per area. to get to the next area, you need tickets from your friends. Friends are also able to send lives or extra moves but the extra moves are not able to be used on every board. I play on both my android and ipad. the ipad game has an extra game within the game and also a bonus wheel spin where you can get a special power up for one use.
Addictive doesn't even begin to cover it. the first 20 or so boards are more simple to get through. Each area introduces you to a new concept. the chocolate squares that multiply and the bombs that give you a certain amount of moves to destroy them are the worst.

OBIE, yes, Candy Crush IS very similar to Bejeweled. What's the difference ? You can play Bejeweled as many times as you'd like to get the best score possible. Candy Crush ? They make you wait to regenerate a life if you run out of lives. Sure, I could go on facebook and BEG friends for a life, but I won't do that. I have some dignity.
Level 188, here I come.

Uhmmm...a PoppIt addict here....I have like 60 gazillion points ....I'm not sure I want to quit ....Archimedes and KJ forced me up here...they think I have a problem...ok more then 1 problem but this is the one they think I should discuss......
I need to go pop some more balloons...I'll be back when you have all calmed down.....
mom plays it all the time; it didn't do anything for me. Seemed like a new version of Bejeweled. I'm hooked on Zuma and Monsters Love Candy (that one is a Microsoft freebie)
Adam Levine is a Candy Crush addict. He told the funniest story on Ellen - his fiancée was asleep and he was playing Candy Crush on his iPhone. He ran out of lives, and used her finger to unlock HER iPhone so he could get more game time.
tap tap tap, is this thing on ? cough, umm, hello my name is Achimedes and I am a Candy Crush addict. LOL !
I'm just wondering how many Spark members play the game Candy Crush ? If you've never heard of it, you can play it on your smart phone or Facebook. It's an extremely addictive puzzle game. How popular ? When I was riding on the subway, I noticed three people sitting who were all looking at their smartphones. Were they reading their email ? Were they texting ? Nope, each one of them was playing a level of Candy Crush. Even Time Magazine has written article about why we are addicted to Candy Crush.
I can't remember when I started playing, but I'm currently in the Caramel Cove on level 187. How about you folks ? Any one else who will be joining me in the Candy Crush 12 step program ? I wonder when friends/family decide an intervention is needed.
