I LOVE late Christmas gifts. A friend of mine and I always schedule our gift exchange for after C Christmas. It stretched the holiday a little longer.

It should be the thought that counts so I'd be happy that someone thought enough of me to get me a gift regardless of when I received it.

Of course not . . . it's lovely that you're giving so many gifts but people shouldn't be expecting them. So it's a nice surprise to receive them late!

We usually exchange gifts with extended family before or after Christmas because we can't all be together in the same place on the same day. I would view it as normal and would not mind.
If someone actually minds that they are given a gift after Christmas they are ungrateful, IMO.

Life happens, so I think it's ok. Right now the Lego sets my mom got for my kids are missing, so I am pretty sure they will get them after Christmas.

add me to the 'no gift' list

BUT, years ago when we did still exchange gifts, there were several folks who received their gifts after Christmas because every other year we are out of state for Christmas.

Guess what? I forgot to distribute Christmas gifts when I went to church last Sunday. Do you think anyone would mind if they got their gifts after Christmas?

The reason I'm asking is that some of my church friends are already on holiday by next weekend. Meaning that I will have to give my gift to them late! (after Christmas).
