Hey all,
I've been on and off dieting for the past 5 years and joined sparkpeople 2 years ago. When I joined, I also tracked my measurements. I did that in October 2012. I decided to change my lifestyle for serious 5 months ago, and I'm ecstatic to say that even if the scale is often stuck, my waist and hips shrink, so hurray!!! emoticon
BUT, despite my waist and hips, nothing else seems to shrink? I measured my everything again today... My calves and upper arms measure at exactly where they measured 2 years ago, despite my lower weight now?? So I was wondering, since we fat people have all this loose skin, maybe we should measure at different spots, when it comes to upper arms at least? I have a lot of loose skin there and I know that some of it will keep hanging there no matter what exercise I do. The original upper arm will shrink, but the loose skin will just hang so i can't measure progress around its largest spot, right?
