I ran my first 5K on Thanksgiving morning, and then later than evening, my boyfriend and I went for a walk. Thanksgiving was a complete victory for me, in many ways.

I did because I had not been terribly diligent on Wrdnesday and had decided not to be too restrictive at dinner on Thirsday. I prettying had what I wanted and took it easy te couple couple of days . (It worked, lost 1.6 lbs)

Not really. I did the day before I kick boxed( tae bo) for 1 hour and did a dance dvd for 20 minutes. I was chasing after these little kids on Thanksgiving ( my cousins) and so the next day I swam for 1 hour, and ran for 15 minutes, and did 30 minutes of circuit training with a jump rope and medicine ball. I did overeat though, and I know why, wasn't even hungry and I was feeling kind of lonely, the kids ate better than me, saw some of them have 1 slice of pie or cake and a scoop of ice cream and that was it. They eat til they are comfortable, and if they are not hungry they refuse to eat, or do so later. Intuitive eating.

Try HOW WILL YOU EXERCISE THE DAY AFTER!!!! I did NOT get much exercise ON the day, but the day after, I took the advice I read in my Newspaper....they listed SEVERAL hikes to take to burn off the turkey pounds....and well, Friday, I hiked over 9 miles, over 22,000 steps, and over 117 floors....So how come my weight this AM is exactly the same???!!!!! Oh well, better than a gain!

Yes, I did 45 minutes of HIIT (high intensity interval training) that night. I had Thanksgiving dinner in the hospital with my husband. Thanks to the Sodexo nutrition tracking, I had all the stats for my meal. emoticon

When I got home I relaxed a bit, then exercised. It was easy because I didn't have to cook, entertain, or travel (except to the local hospital).

I did! It was fun!
I did my usual Thursday morning physical therapy exercises...

Of course, I had a totally different Thanksgiving this year. My dinner invitation fell through the last minute, but I didn't even care--I had the place to myself, I could do exactly what I wanted to do without consulting anyone--and I had spicy lentils and rice, with apples, for dinner... mmm emoticon
Plus, I slept for FOUR HOURS in the afternoon! It was DELIGHTFUL!

I woke up with so much energy (First time in YEARS that has happened!...) that I cleaned my living room/dining room and my kitchen, top to bottom. Paid for it the next day, but it was SO fun while it lasted!

I did the Turkey Burner Workout from SP!! I only did 1 round and sorry could only suffer through 2 sets of 10 burpees those are hard! And the one legged pushup was not going to happen, I cant even do standard pushups, so did 2 sets of 15 modified. Whoo hoo! I actually did it this year! And we took a 1mile walk around the neighborhood about 1hr after the big meal.

I did 46 min cardio and 20 min strenght training then had 2 thanksgiving dinners and stayed within my calorie range. I am still recovering from that effort.

I went out for a hike but it was really cold so I stopped after one loop. Six miles in the cold made me cold and hungry!
