I did a great thing today! After a VERY hard day at work where it seemed all I did was put out fires and answer calls/emails all I wanted to do was come home and veg. I thought wouldnt it be great to block out the world and read a book. But I know what comes with that... snacking. So after I told my husband of my horrible day he asked me if I was going for a walk. I said I should but would rather veg. He simply said that I may feel better after walking. Guess what he was right. I took a quick 25 minute walk and came back with a better attitude and DIDNT block out the world and snack. I played a game with my kids and spent the rest of the evening engaged with my life. To me this is a break through... not the norm I would have done. I'm more proud of this one decision than of the weight I have lost. Now to keep making the healthy choice!!!
