Maybe you need to make exercise an everyday habit. Only exercising 3-4 days a week seems like too much downtime. It is too easy to get distracted when it isn't something that you do automatically.

I only do very intense exercise 3-4 days a week, but other days I do things that are lower impact, like swimming a mile, going out to dance or going for a long walk. One rest day a week is fine, especially if you are tired or not feeling well--but taking half the week is too much in my criteria.

You know what to do. Up your calories to 1200 a day, more if you are working out a lot. I know it seems counter intuitive but you have to eat to lose.

You ask the million dollar question, if there was an answer, there would be no need for web sites for people trying to lose weight and eat healthfully for the rest of their lives!! There is no easy answer, and sometimes you even have to admit you are tired of doing it and stop for awhile, regroup, etc. Just the knowledge of what to eat and how much, and so on, never guarantees that you will actually be able or want to do it for the rest of your life...............it's way harder than that. If you were obsessive compulsive, it would help. Or orthorexic, but, it's a mental issue, no meds can get a person to feel happy about deprivation for a limited amount of time. Take some time off..................

Well the nutritionist did set my caloric intake to 1200 calories per day...but some days I am not hitting that. Which of course is another reason why I am not loosing because I am pretty sure my body is in starvation mode...

Have you entered your information and found your calorie range? Are you tracking your food and exercise?
If you only need to lose 10#s, work out like a "Beast" on some days and are not eating enough you are going to want to eat more, are going to crave carbs and are not going to lose weight.
On average, woman need 1500 calories a day if we are active, minimum of 1200 calories a day. Are you getting that amount?

Being a carb lover is a struggle for most of us. Try limiting your processed carbs and go for trying things like beans, sweet potatoes, and butternut squash instead. They may help fend off starch cravings.

To test your theory about having a medical problem I would suggest making that call to your pcp and getting it checked out. Should there be a problem then hopefully it can be fixed but if there's nothing wrong with you medically then the mirror shot is your best bet.

Look in the mirror and face the truth, I did and still do. I tried many times over and over until it clicked for me. All the knowledge in the world is useless unless you and you alone decide to lose weight and when you do it won't be ten pounds you'll shred, you'll shred more than you would've thought you could.

Best of luck and never give up!

By taking one thing at a time, accomplishing that feat and then going on to the second. Alright say for the first week, you make an effort to drink your required water after three weeks that becomes a habit. Then add the 10,000 steps per day. Do that for 3 weeks and it will be habit. Now during those times, make sure you go to bed at the same time every night.

This regime will get you back into it most definitely....I think you are overwhelmed by taking it on as 1 big project.

I am struggling mentally and physically with trying to get back to my BEAST mode of working out and eating healthy. I been to see a nutritionist twice. So there is no excuse and besides that I know exactly what to do. But the question is why can't I. I workout at least 3 to 4 times a week doing boot camp training. Then I slack off. I run also during this time at least 3 miles. Then I slack off. So physically challenging myself is not the problem. Its the eating. I crave carbs and sugar all the time. Every day is a start over day for me. I pray at night that I need to stay focus more than a couple of hours. How did I get hear. How do I get out of this black hole that I am in. My goal was to loose at least 10 lbs my thanksgving. I am not liking the way I look in the mirror at this point. My fiance always says I look fine but inside I know I am not. I feel like I am drowning and I need some sort of lifeline to pull me out. My weight is flutuating up and down. Although I havent gained more than 5 to 7 lbs, I loose 2lbs go up 3, loose 3lbs go up 2 just a yo-yo effect. I really think I have some sort of yeast over growth in my system. Any words of wisdom will be much appreciated....how do I get back FOCUS!!!
