in addition to the good responses already given:
I'll say this because I know that **I** am guilty of it: 'watching what I eat'...well, that can be dangerous if you are not measuring and tracking EVERYTHING that you eat (and drink, if it's anything but water).
also, really pay attention to your sodium. Too much can make you retain water. If you eat very much food that you do not prepare from scratch, it's really easy to be way too high on sodium ranges.
keep in mind the scale isn't the only (or even the best) way to measure progress. A tape measure, the way your clothes fit, changes in your heart rate and endurance, etc.
