Hydrate your body. You may not love water...drink it anyway. It affects every part of your body in a positive way. Wear sunscreen....get sun in moderation. Discover the activity you love to do and do it your whole life. Keep searching out different ideas for moving your body...zumba wasn't here when I was young:) Leave off soda....sweets. You don't need them really you don't :)

I was active when I was in school. Played basketball, volleyball, dodgeball (and a lot of activities) all after school.
Later in life when I was working and had my family, I was not as active.
I wish I go go back and encourage me to go to the Y or just try to find some local people that wanted to be active.

Now I am not physically able to do all of the things I once loved.

I would also tell myself: "You are much stronger than you realize."
"Never give up." I am working on that one now. :0)

I know you don't believe it, but people DO love you and want you in their lives, and they are better for knowing you. LEAVE that place you're in. Those people are not healthy for you and it is never going to get better because people don't change. Don't bother with internet dating. It will ruin your self esteem. When you feel like crying, just cry. Don't try to hide your pain and medicate it by eating. Keep lifting weights. You liked how you looked when you had those small, shapely muscles. Don't quit! Most of all, please learn that you are valuable for who you are not just what you can do.

Really nothing but I only got over weight very late and was really fit until three years ago.

Having said that I am glad of being where I am now, I feel really 20 years younger

Exercise every day. Never stop.

I'd tell younger me:

*Finish college
*Travel the world while you're young
*Take the Flight Attn. job, that mom talked you out of
*Appreciate your looks & figure, it doesn't last forever
*Go on the 2 family vacations to Europe, instead of staying home
*Go to the family reunion
*Don't mistake sex for love
*The man of your dreams is out there, don't settle
*Expand your horizons ~ go to the opera, the ballet, plays, museums
*Don't let other peoples hang-ups hold you back
*Love yourself!

Don't do it - for all the things I did and ate (from bad marriage to weight gain my choices were all on me even when encouraged I should have listened to myself as I knew I was making mistakes)

Do it - for all the things I believed I couldn't do (as constantly told by my family "you're too fat to do that" "you can't do that you're unco" etc etc)

Live and Laugh even when nobody is watching - if you only put on a fake happy for the crowds but are miserable in your own company or when you lie in bed at night something (possibly everything) needs to change

It depends on the definition of younger self. Do we define it as 16, 21, 25, 30, 35, or even 40? Some things are universal no matter the age. So are not. Would I tell myself to not drink, smoke, think the world will not end when my first love breaks up with me, go full time to college, move from home earlier in life...?

All the things I would tell myself not to do or to do have brought me here. I am more confident, secure, and mature than I ever thought I would be.

Thanks for the thought-provoking question, though.
