I just finished my 10 week program at Farrells and have had amazing results. I am so glad I stuck with the program. The first 2 weeks were very hard on me.I figured it was only 10 weeks so I made sure I just showed up to class and kept moving...even if it was barely :)
I hope you enjoyed the program as much as I did! Keep moving mama you can do it!

Did they guarantee you anything when you signed up for this? Did they require a doctor's signed statement that you were ready for this? Usually any kind of "extreme" plan that a person pays money for, they check you out closely before they take you, and try to sell you a different plan, there are ones for different stages of a person's lifestyle. Can you get your money back if you feel like quitting, was there a contract?

Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

Doing something labeled as "extreme" when you are just getting back into working out seems like a very bad plan and a good way to injure yourself. Of course you are frustrated--it takes time to build muscle and endurance.

Not weighing yourself for such a long period...well, that would make me VERY nervous.

I wish you luck, but this doesn't seem like a great approach.

Thank you!

I suppose taking a picture once a week would give me a boost. I'm not allowed to get on the scale or measure myself. They check us every 5 weeks.....

Appreciate your feedback!!! emoticon

you see yourself every day - you are not very likely to notice your changes.

stick with it. YOU are taking some important steps to improve your life. And you'll be able to tell the difference in many ways before you can see it in the mirror or on the scale.

So, I have enrolled in Farrell's Extreme BodyShaping [10 week challenge]. I am almost 42 years old, am very overweight and a smoker. My first day was Saturday, September 28th. Today absolutely KILLED me. I couldn't do full sets on ANYTHING! I was so frustrated. It's hard to look in the mirror after working so hard for a week and not see anything change.

Kickboxing 3x a week and strength training 3x a week.

I know, I know - I didn't get to 250 lbs overnight .... But does anyone know what I mean? Grrr. Very frustrated - sore - happy I'm committed but want to see the changes faster!!!!! emoticon
