You guys, we can do this! We can maintain and or lose this fall. I'm moving into maintenance so this will be a new experience for me.
So let's get our house in order and plan our "Fall Attack"! How are we going to do this?
We are going to:
Remember that we can enjoy the special treat foods, just pick our favorites. and plan the amounts. Don't eat it if you don't love it.
Don't let anyone guilt you into eating something because they "made it special, just for you!"
Practice saying "thanks, I'll get some in a bit"
If family serve food that you don't care for and doesn't fit into your diet DO NOT EAT IT! We will not starve to death.
We will NOT make a big deal out of the fact that a lot of our families do NOT eat healthy and that we do not eat that way any more. (we can get away with this by being low key and flying under the radar--see Thanks, Ill get some in a bit)
We will not bring leftovers home from parties. We do not want our fridges full of junk food.
We will not take junk food to parties. If we bring a dish it will be yummy and healthy.
We will remember that there is ALWAYS MORE pie, cookies, cakes and candies. We do not have to eat it all or eat it now. We can always get it when we want it.
We will schedule our workouts and keep to our schedules.
We will face and deal with our emotional issues without resorting to binging or pigging out! We can be emotionally healthy at this time of the year.
We will realistically decide what we can do in terms of time and money and we will stick to our plans. We will not let others stress us out or guilt us into anything.
