I usually sleep for 7 hours and am well-rested on that amount. I do wake often though, ever since my first pregnancy I don't believe I've had a single night I've slept straight through.
The reason it can be more difficult to lose weight from lack of sleep is because people are more likely to eat when having trouble sleeping and skip their workout the following day. If you're not finding yourself heading for a midnight snack and are not lacking energy the following day, it shouldn't be anything to worry about.
