Definitely it's all about how i FEEL.

It's about being able to move around without feeling tired, sore, awkward, bulky.slow.
It's about being able to eat a delicious meal and walk away satisfied, no heartburn, no bloating.
It's about feeling like I want to do things I used to enjoy, but had given up on.

Overall, it's feeling like i've lost "ten years of age" that is more important than dropping any particular amount of pounds.



Goal 1 - break 200 (46 pounds lost)**DONE**
Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**
Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)

The biggest success factor for me is how I feel. I simply feel better when I eat right and exercise regularly. At the opposite end, when I do NOT eat right or exercise regularly, I get really crabby.

Second, I value medical numbers. We have such a diabetes epidemic going on that I think it's really important to monitor the important numbers and do what we can to control them. Obviously, some of us have a family history and that is an uncontrollable risk factor, but there are a number of things we CAN control.

the small victories in life. I wanted junk food yesterday as I was coming home and I stopped at the store and got an apple and a no sugar ice tea....... I was getting dressed today and saw muscles in my biceps and shoulders......weight lifting is paying off.
