Maybe some reduced swelling or puffiness could be the answer with less water retention, less weight.

I have always lost one shoe size, everytime that I lost a lot of weight! Also, your glasses may not fit tightly anymore, or even hats may not fit as well.

Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

Feet may shrink a little as you loose weight especially in width.

My feet have always been tiny, even when I was at my biggest, but I've noticed that they're narrower now. I still wear the same shoe size though.

Yup. For me anyways. I went down 1 to 1.5 sizes depending on the shoe since my weight loss.

Mine got bigger after my son was born and even when the weight was gone, they were the newly expanded version of my old feet.

My feet definitely got smaller when I lost weight. I went from wearing the wide shoes to the normal width shoes. Not sure that they got any shorter, though!

Keep your shoes and you may be pleasantly surprised to find that they will fit when you lose weight.

My feet have gone done a half to a full size depending on the style. I also don't need to buy wide width anymore.

Thanks everyone. I will keep for now and see. There is a couple of pair I really liked but never wore because they felt okay in the store and then when I got them home they were too tight and never stretched like the saleswoman promised (I think she worked off commission). If they don't fit in the spring they will be donated. Mary J

MARYJ1959,

Many members have posted that when they lost weight, they lost a shoe size. I was not one of those people. When I lost weight, I didn't lose a shoe size. Everything except my feet
shrank when I lost weight.

Keep the shoes for now, because you never know. You could lose a half a shoe size. If you don't lose, consider donating them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. that's what I did with my larger sized clothes and smaller sized shoes when I lost.

If they fit when you bought them... they may well fit again after losing weight.

Yes, my feet have lost weight. I used to have a very difficult time finding heels that I could wear comfortably, and they had to come in a wide-width. But now I am back in standard-width.

Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**

Hi Mary! Yes, it is my belief that feet do get smaller. Last year, when I had gotten down to 219 pounds from 260 something, I was able to comfortably wear my BF very narrow shoes. We have the same foot size, but mine is considerably wider than his. I have since gained weight, and cannot wear his shoes at the moment, but I know I will again soon!

I need to clean out closet and have a couple of pairs of shoes that are new but too tight. There was a board that talked about how rings are fitting or too big after weight loss. I was wondering if that is true with feet also. I have always wore a wide width, but I think I use to be able to get into a regular width in some shoes.
