I don't discuss my weight unless someone asks about it, such as whether I've lost weight. I do talk about exercise and nutrition. Being a vegan, people are always asking me about how I eat. and how I have so much energy for hiking and other things I enjoy doing. :D

I don't talk about weight but I talk about exercise and the various ways to keep in shape to do endurance sports.

I only discuss it with my husband. Pretty much everyone I know is a healthy weight without trying, so it seems silly to bring it up.

I don't talk about my weight as people are always telling me I am too skinny. I do mention if they ask it is about good health and not a # on the scale or pant size. I do tell them my physical health is better. The only thing I do mention is my love for weight lifting. I have been asked how much I walk in a day.......I walk a lot.

fairly extrovert talking about weight loss, depending who I'm talking to - but I don't normally tell people what I weight or what I used to weigh.

I have never gone out of my way to discuss my weight with anyone, but have always answered honestly if they asked. My family and close friends have always known my weight, and we have been having some fabulously spirited discussions about healthier lifestyles since they all have an interest in it as well.

What's been funny lately is that apparently walking around stores wearing clothing that is obviously a couple of sizes too large makes you a "magnet" that gets strangers to approach and ask about weight-loss, diet, and nutrition. I've ended up in some great discussions about it in Costco, a couple of grocery stores (hilarious chat with a butcher whose doctor suggested that he try low carb and he's horrified at the thought), a bra shop, and a furniture store.

I'm naturally an introvert, but don't have any privacy concerns with talking about weight and weight-loss with friends or strangers who ask.

Afraid of a colonoscopy? Believe me - they are much less frightening than surgery and chemotherapy.

Colonoscopies allow polyps to be removed before they can become cancer, or let cancers be found before they are too widespread. If you are 50 or older, or have any symptoms, please don't let fear stop you from covering your butt.

Get checked!

This has nothing to do with introversion or extroversion...it is a question of how private you want to be about this particular issue.

I am totally open here and with certain friends who are also health/fitness fanatics. Since I've lost so much weight it is pretty obvious to everyone around me that something is different, but I don't discuss particular numbers or details with most people unless they ask, just because not everybody is interested in the nitty-gritty. I would guess that many would find it quite boring.

I am an extrovert in most every other aspect of life, but when it comes to weight/weight loss, I keep it really low key. I do NOT bring it up around family, friends or co-workers (except within my immediate family since all three of us are working on the same issue). Of course, other people do bring up the issue once in a while. But I try and keep my responses simple and general. If they say "looking good" I say "thank you" and leave it at that. If they say "you have lost some weight" i say "yes, i have!" and if they say "what are you doing?" I say "portion control, no junk food; i use an online journal to track." It is very rare that the probing questions go beyond this, but if someone really wanted to talk about it, I wouldn't shy away from frankly discussing the process, the challenges, and the actual numbers. So I don't know, I guess i am a Low Key Extrovert?

Goal 1 - break 200 (46 pounds lost)**DONE**
Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**
Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)

I am an introvert. Whenever you tell people that you are trying to lose weight. They become weight loss experts.

And then when you eat something that isn't boring diet food like chicken breast and steamed broccoli. They look at you like, you are going to eat that? You can't eat that, that isn't diet food.

So I keep it to myself.

Made it to my maintenance weight of 125 pounds.

Even though I have reached goal. I still don't know everything about weight loss.

I have nothing to hide. I tell it like it is. So, I guess that would make me an extrovert.

Keep a sense of humor. Remember, laughing burns calories too!

I will talk about stuff if asked but I won't go out of my way to discuss weight and diet.

Lay aside life-harming heaviness and entertain a cheerful disposition.

I'm a Gemini, so I can be both, but I have to say that most often my Extrovert wins and I am happy to share any amount of detail about my weigh loss journey with anyone who'll listen. Kind of had to reign it in a little as it can become a little tiresome for people close to you who want to talk about other (more interesting) things! lol

That said, anyone who is either thinking of or trying to lose weight and is genuinely interested in my experiences throughout the process will probably get more info than they bargained for!

Though we cannot control the winds, we can adjust the sails.

I'm an introvert when it comes to how much I weigh, an extrovert when it comes to how much I've lost!

I normally keep quiet about but I feel really good if someone notices my weight loss and complements me. Then I just smile and say thank you!

Well, I'm generally an introvert, sooooo..... I discuss my efforts with select people who seem to care or who need to know because it affects them. Like my husband and my mom. Other than that, I don't bring up my personal numbers much, but I'll talk about cooking or activities if it comes up in conversation.

My Sparkpage is set to private, but I'm open to SparkMail!

A lot of people feel differently about discussing their personal weight issues.
Some people tell everyone they are trying to lose weight and how much they've lost
others keep it a secret.

ARE YOU AN INTROVERT OR AN EXTROVERT WHEN IT COMES TO
