yes, and no.
Yes I was on it. And I could only loose 1 pound a week. My cholesterol shot up while I was on it. Yet I needed to be accountable: get on the scale weekly. WW's teaches you how to fight bad habits, eat better, and change your life style too. Yet I found that it just didn't help me loose weight like I did on the diabetic diet on Spark. And my 2 months on Spark made my cholesterol drop to 195. 2months after on Weight Watchers even thought I was down 20 lbs. my cholesterol was up 245. I would have lost at least 35 lbs on Spark in the same amount of time, and remember my cholesterol shot up 50 points. What's that tell you about their diet program? But if you need the behavior strengthening, go for it! It only costs $14.00 a week. Jenny Craig costs about $100.00 in food a week, & an initial fee. Medical Weight Loss is cheaper than Jenny, yet they don't have the good foods. They put you on artificial foods, so while you are dieting you never learn how to deal with your issues So, here I am .I am back.

No. I've done WW several times before. Sometimes I'd lose weight sometimes I wouldn't. I think it's a good program if you don't have any kind of a food addiction, which I finally realized was my problem. I've never heard them discuss anything for food addictions, it seemed to be a 'one size fits all' concept. But, it's a very healthy program and good accountability at the meetings each week.

I was on it for a few months last year and lost about 15 pounds, but I hit a plateau and kept playing with the same three or four pounds (I had a good 40 pounds to lose). I got tired of paying and not losing. I think the Points Plus system is OK, but calories are still calories, and fruits and veggies are considered "free" foods, as in no points value. Since I joined Spark, I've lost weight at a pretty good clip, and still within the healthy range of one to two pounds a week. I think I was eating too many calories on WW.

I was on Weight Watchers three times. 2001-2003 (meetings) and lost 53 pounds. I think I got bored and started cheating all the time, so I quit. I re-stared in 2008 and 2009 (online and meetings). There were things I did not like. One was that they sold the candy and starchy foods at the meetings. Also, they kept changing their program and way you accounted for your food and weight and exercise.

I was on WW for 3 months....I found that it wasn't user friendly for diabetics.

Since being with SP...my blood sugars have fallen drastically and I lost 25 pounds since July 3

This is my second time on weight watchers! I'm doing the points plus and tracking my food here to so that I can see my cal intake. I stopped ww before bc I stopped losing weight after losing 35 lbs. and then came here and it's works too. I notice now that I'm doing both I'm eating all my points on weight watchers but then my cals r not at the low for here. I'm thinking about staying on both for a month and c how it goes. After that ill either keep doing both or stop WW. It's easier to just list food here and be done. wW I have to put fat carbs fib protein. Then long it down by points. I don't pay for it bc I've done it before so I know most of the things and I use a free pts counter and google. So for those of u wanting to try ww don't pay monthly but it's a good idea to pay for one meeting to get your supples if u won't use your phone for googling when u eat. Sorry so long. Oh also in two days since being back on ww I've lost 0.6 lbs

If its not hard then it's not worth it!

Weight Watchers is fine for some. Spark People is free and at the end of the day you have to be accountable to yourself.

I never paid to go on Weight Watchers, I was given the plan from a friend who had paid, in the beginning. Later on, you could buy the cookbooks and so forth, and it was pretty straightforward anyway, no points counting nonsense. I still have the mimeographed papers, and I also have the "Deal A Meal" cards, and wallet. Never say die!! Still trying........at least until assisted living.

I have been on WW many times. I had success each time, until I hit the plateau. The last time I was stuck at the same weight, up a few pounds, down a few pounds. Then I got tired of paying them and not making any progress so I quit. I gained back most of what I had lost. Alas here I am at SP.

No it's sure easy to put it on but difficult to take off, at least the skinny cow fudge bars are only 100 calories, good luck on your journey

I've been on Weight Watchers at least 3 times, in my life, but not doing it the new way now. It worked well each time, but, of course, I got tired of even that, and wanted to eat more, so quit it. The early 1970's Weight Watchers was better than the more modern version. But the best plan ever, for me, was "Deal A Meal", did that for 11 months in 1989, lost over 82 lbs., but, alas, as usual with these things, you get sick of it and go back to the comfort of good tasting food. Now, I'm trying to lower starches, and increase protein and lots of veggies, but need that Skinny Cow frozen treat on a stick every day, too. That's where it's at now. It ain't easy, is it?

I'm curious to see how many are on weight watchers and how well it's working for you?
