I usually try to stop them from moving by anchoring against glasses and other heavier items.

Oh, those things drive me crazy too! Our d/w has its end prongs really close to the basket edge, so I can jam the lids in there and they stay. For the containers, I just have to try to weight them down with other items - steamer basket from cooking pots, lids from cooking pots, heavier (real) plates... whatever I can find.

I remember seeing, years ago, an elastic "net"; it probably was at some marine store, since it's been about that amount of time since I saw it. I have no idea what the intended application was. But it occurs to me that would be a great thing, stretched over the offending items in the d/w and clipped to the edges of the shelf. I may have to start checking marine companies online again to see if I can find it!

Good luck. All my stuff comes out flipped over and full of dirty wash water too.
how appetizing.

I put the little lids in a baby bottle holder. I don't use the top as that is long gone. I try to put the little containers in the smallest sized divider part of the top rack. I try to squeeze them in. Sometimes they flip over and sometimes they don't.

Clip the lids to the DW prongs on the top shelf with plastic clothespins.

I'm old fashioned enough to include that kind of stuff in the dishpan when I still wash some things by hand every day, but, back when I was super picky about it, I had a whole lot of little plastic ware with lids, more than you need in one day, so it didn't matter so much how often you did that.

Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

Try placing a Cookie Sheet or a Roaster type pan with the flat side up, right on top of the plastic containers, it should hold them in place and prevent them from flipping over and filling with water. If your pans seem to be on the flimsy side, try doubling them.

I can usually stop them from moving using the other stuff in the top rack (mostly coffee cups, and some glasses). The lids do fine in my dishwasher when I stand them on the edge between the top rack prongs (as you do with plates on the lower rack).

I don't know if this would work, but there are accessories you can buy to hold baby bottles & the accoutrements in the dishwasher. Kind of a plastic cube with a lid that snaps shut to keep everything inside. If you can find one large enough, that might be an option.

I always place them upside down and hang them on one of the dishwasher prongs

Made it to my maintenance weight of 125 pounds.

Even though I have reached goal. I still don't know everything about weight loss.

Any tips or nifty gadgets to keep the lighter plastic containers from getting moved around in top rack of the diswasher? And the lids, Lord the little lids. Nothing more disappointing to do a load open it up and see half my little conatiners holding diswasher water.

I premeasure everything because I have portion size problemsand I like to grab and go in the morning, so I generate a lot of dirty gladware.
