Yes, I still have them and the 45s too. I have copied the favorites onto CDs or mp3s for my players. They sound good but I know they are copied from records and I can hear that static sound in them but I don't think most people notice that. I actually like the static sound because it reminds me of the treasured days of my youth when those records were almost all I had to my name and I loved that music so much. Even though I have copies to actually listen to, I do have a record player but rarely play the actual records. My grandson cried when I showed him one playing when he was three. He was scared of it, I think!

Yes, have some from the 1950's, '60's, and onward, first albums of country music singers, old 78's from country singers, and a few Beatle's albums, plus Elvis and so on, the covers are what is great!! Have a turntable, but want a new one, plus a cassette player to play the great cassettes. Hate CD's, sound is not "full" enough.

Plan for tomorrow, but enjoy the heck out of today.

My husband and I kept all of our old albums from the 70's forward and our parents gave us their albums. I received a turntable for Christmas a couple of years ago and my son (21) loves some of our old stuff! Brings back good memories!

I never had any records of my own, but I have bought a few over the years just because they were decorative or interesting. Most of those are tango albums.

I am still hanging on to handful of my favorite cassette tapes--maybe 8 or so, and about 20 of my favorite physical CDs.

Dances: salsa (standard/LA), casino, rueda de casino, cumbia Colombiana, bachata, mambo, cha-cha-chá, merengue, reggaetón.

Currently learning: Mexican cumbia, danzón, Cuban rumba

Dances to Learn in the future: flamenco, tango Argentino, samba, belly dancing, bhangra, ballroom rumba

I have always loved vinyl and had a pretty good collection going at one point, along with a great turntable. I always liked the "super sized" artwork on LPs.

When the economy went south, I decided that having the extra money in savings was worth more to me than the collection was, so I put the really collectible ones up on eBay one at a time, and then took the rest to a local record store and sold them as a lot. I sold the turntable on craigslist to a local guy who about fell over himself getting to my house before I sold it to someone else. I think I got around $2,000 total for everything. I know there were a few in there that I most likely could never find again for a reasonable price, but I still have CDs of just about all of them. I do still have a box of my dad's albums--Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, etc.

My son couldn't figure vinyl out either until I put one on the turntable and gave him the headphones....he gets it now, I think.

Yes, I have 70-90's stuff. My kids are in high school marching band and they are playing Talking Heads music this year. I was able to show them the album.. it was cool but made me feel old...lol Wish I still had a turntable. I'm going to make that a goal for a weight loss reward for myself ;-)

I have a couple of thousand along with 3 Quality turntables. There isn't a cd or player that can reproduce the sound of good vinyl.

I started out with nowt and I've still got most of it.

I have a couple dozen in a box somewhere...

They seem to be coming back into fashion. I was recently in an electronics shop and they had a really huge selection of turntables and vinyl LPs. I laughed to see Fleetwood Mac Rumours (the first album I ever bought, when i was about.. twelve) alongside Eminem (Eminem is releasing on vinyl?!).

Just sold them off when I decided I wanted to live without things I don't use. De-clutter. I had the Beatles White Album and about 50 other albums from different artists, yes I'm that old. All scratched dragging them to college and using a lot. Saw a cool looking turn table that they are now selling for albums but I wanted to get rid of things and not collect more so I talked myself out of buying it.
